Hey everybody! Today I am going to tell you a little bit about my Camp Oty Okwa experience and what made me happy! I enjoyed so many things about camp but today I'm going to tell you about some of my favorite parts that I know I'll remember forever.
First of all, I loved every part of camp that I got to explore. Split rock just fired me up! There are so many twists and turns! I also jumped over rocks with pits that looked really deep! My mom would've probably been freaking out because of how high I would get!
I was having a lot of fun, but when Taryn and Rylee showed up, I was really excited. When I found a really cool cave, or more of a little hole under some rock formations, I wanted them to come see! I wasn't scared at all, but they were. There was a big rock I had to climb up! It took me about five seconds to get up. They on the other hand, took around ten minutes to decide they'd even try! They got up just fine though!
Another fun part was when I was in my table group at the dining hall. It was really fun because I got to make a few new friends, although they managed to spill the cup we put our silver wear in all over me! They weren't the only ones who spilled stuff though. We only went two meals without spilling anything.
I really enjoyed seeing my first water falls and caves! I have always wanted to see them and last week I got a chance! I made new friends and got to hang out with people I hadn't really had the chance to talk to before. I learned a whole lot of new stuff I probably would've never learned. I had a lot of fun and got to explore. I loved Camp!

Hello today I will be talking about my amazing time at Camp Oty Okwa! I hope you enjoy. This was a very special 6 grade camp for me. I thought it was going to be awesome but I was wrong. It was a very very amazingly wonderful time. Every thing made it special. The caves, hikes, split rock, all of it just made this camp special for me. At camp I really liked the finial fire. Everybody did an excellent job on their skits! The skits were very humorous and awesome. Everybody was working together and doing a good job to make the skits successful. Even the camp members were really funny! Mr.McDonald was the funniest adult there I think. My favorite thing about camp was the Finial Fire because I liked laughing and acting in the skits. I also think that Mr. McDonald and his sidekick will never be beaten in the nursery rhyme battle. That brings up a good point. The teachers in the skits were really funny like when Mr.McGuire was the guest in one of the skits. We should give the teachers a pat on the back for doing an excellent job in the skits. My favorite skit was WEE! What was yours? When I get older I am going to remember split rock because I have never seen little paths or big broken up rocks that are perfect for people to walk through. I have seen big broken up rocks before but not with little paths through them. Split rock is something I will be telling my kids and my grand kids about. I hope you liked learning about what my favorite thing at camp was!

Hello, today I will be writing about what thing put it over the top for me at camp Oty Okwa! So I hope you guys enjoy this blog post and I just want to give a special thanks to my teachers and to the staff of camp Oty Okwa
So if you have ever been to a camp you properly went with a church or with a school. Well I went with my school so I know a lot of people witch was to my advantage but the staff of the camp had to remember 147 names in 3 days witch is really hard.
But I was off topic in that last paragraph so lets try this again so the thing that but camp over the top is the final fire. that was a interesting class because the student came up with the funniest skits I have ever seen at a camp before in my life. Also it is because I looked at ever person in that audience and I didn't see one face that didn't look like they were having fun!
Then we went on a hike about survive and I learned that you can put snow in a jar and melt it to make it purified water And also you can hide in a cave for shelter and if you are luck you can find bugs for food or find snow for water. I also learned how to start a fire with a sticks and stone or you string and cause brush to catch fire.
Well that's all I have but if you can go to camp GO because you will have the time of your life and you will never want to leave. So for the people in my class what part of camp put it over the top. To learn more about camp go to :http://www.campotyokwalodging.com/

The Final camp fire was awesome we song campfire songs each trail group did a skit in my trail group was Rylee,Blake,Logan,Wyatt,Caroline,Alexis A.,Alexis D., Jocelyn,Carrie,Natasha Jonah,Jarred and Jessica .Also Willow and Owl faced Mr.McDonald and a student in a nursery rhyme battle. Jackie W. song just the way you are by Bruno mars. The funniest part of the final fire was when the teachers did there skit Mr. McDonald act like Mr. Kenny And Mr McDonald ask all the teachers for his Important paper and the hole time he meant his toilet paper it was so funny .If your a sixth grader that hasn't went to camp Oty'Okwa I recommend you do go.Also Before we left we did a Indian rhythm to make it rain it was still fun to do even though it didn't work. After the Final Campfire we went back to our cabins took showers and went to bed.It was a blast you could ask any sixth grader that went.Again If you have the chance I recommend you go. The campfire was fun Lance. I really enjoyed it and really laughed the whole time. The Campfire was my favorite part too. My favorite part about the campfire was when Willow and Al faced Mr.McDonald.

The thing that liked at camp was when we went to split rock. Because when i herd of camp i thought it would be boring but it wasn't. Because we would get up at like 7:00 0'clock but now that i went to camp i know now that it is not boring it is awesome. Everyone had to be ready before all of the hoppers would go at 7:45 we would have all of the hoppers go to the dinning hall to get all of the food ready for everyone at the tables.
When everyone was done eating we would go out side to our trail groups and go on our first three hour hike for the day. Then we would come back and eat lunch when we were all done with eating our food we would go on another three hour hike when we go done with that hike then we would have free time for an hour. Then the camp people would decide what we would do next like a craft or a fire or we would go into the barn and have a reptile show to see all of the reptiles that these people that they wanted show us.
Then after we did a craft we would go back to our cabins and get into the shower if we wanted too. Then some would would have to get in the shower in the morning. Then we would do the some thing all over again for those three days. The best thing at camp was split rock because it was like a big human maze and it was fun to go down under rocks and climb up the rocks. The thing that was disgusting about the split rock was the fungi it was really slimy and soft and green it felt really weird.
But Camp Oty Okwa was still a really cool place to go to for three days camp was awesome!!!!!

What did you enjoy about camp? What really made it a special event for you? What did you like best? As you think back on camp over the next few years, what will you remember?
When the sixth grade went to camp I had a blast! I enjoyed it so much! The more we did, the more fun I had and the more I did not want to leave. I enjoyed everything we did at Camp Oty Okwa.
I enjoyed everything we did at camp so much. One of my favorite things we did was Spilt Rock. Split Rock is like a giant cliff, but it is just huge rocks piled together that makes it look like a cliff. The reason I enjoyed Split Rock was because I got to climb on all the rocks and be as adventurous as I dared. I even got to climb in tiny spaces where the rocks had fallen together and made a triangular shape. I also enjoyed Split Rock because I got to discover new things. One time this girl in my group Bri and I went through a little space and saw this rock that had wavy grooves in it.
Also while I was at Split Rock I hung out with Bri and Alexcis. We got to know each other very well by helping each other climb on the rocks. I found out that Bri is very adventurous and daring to not be afraid. I also learned that Alexcis is very helpful because she would help me and ask if I was okay when I would fall down.
Another thing I enjoyed was all the hiking we did. One reason I liked it so much is because where I live we don't have all the hills and forested areas like we did at Camp Oty Okwa. Another reason I liked hiking is because I got to see so many different things. I got to see a hemlock tree, a gall wasp nest and a salamander. I thought all the creatures in the woods were very interesting.
I enjoyed Split Rock, and hiking but, for me the most special event and best thing at camp was the new friendships I made and all the helpfulness I gave and received. When I would need help going up a steep hill or climbing on Split Rock there was always a friend there to help me. Or when someone needed help or fell down I would always help them. I even made quite a lot of friendships, like Alexcis, Johan and Paige. I never got to know them before because they were in an another class or upstairs. Camp Oty Okwa really brought me to know them and to become good and better friends.
Even as the years go by I will still remember going to Camp Oty Okwa. The most I will remember besides all the new friendships I made, is how nice, funny and how I was able to learn a lot from the camp counselors. The reason I think I will remember them is because they were not mean and if I did not understand something they would show me how to do it. Also if I saw something that was really cool they would take the time to explain to me what it is and what it does. They even would make jokes and if you would be kidding with them they would joke around with you.
I loved Camp Oty Okwa because of all the friendships, hikes, camp counselor and just because of all the fun I had. I would really like to go back sometime. Camp Oty Okwa really is the best place to go if you want to have fun and learn some cool and amazing stuff.

My favorite part about 6th grade camp at Camp Oty Okwa was when my group went to the survival class. When the counselor took my group out and in to the woods she said that we can run free and try to get food, water, shelter, and fire.My group that I was in had Brendan,Jersey,Seth, and myself. When we started setting up a little camp around three trees, Seth was looking around for water and stumbled on a cave. He came back and told everyone and then we took every thing and moved it all to the cave.We had almost everything we needed except a fire but we ran out of time and we went and looked at everyone else's camps. Once we looked at everyone's camps it was my groups turn. While Seth and I were fooling around on top of our camp Brendan was giving the fire one last go,and he got the fire lit right as everyone got to our camp.It was really fun showing every one our camp and the ice cave next to it we were allowed to slide around on the ice it was so fun. This was the amazing time I had at camp!!!

My favorite part about camp was going to split rock because we used a lot teamwork I loved seeing all the rocks. Also I kept wondering how are all the rocks split like that?
We also had partners my partner was Taryn, Carley got stunk between two rocks and me and Taryn pull her out. Me and Taryn found a lot of caves, in the rocks and we found a really big cave. It was super fun.

My Favorite thing about Camp Oty' Okawa was the Free time and the reason that I pick that was I just love to hang out with friend when we would come back from are 3 hour hike.
When it was time for free time I would maybe change clothes or not it depend if they were really bad but most of the time I did not change clothes when I got them I would have to hurry because I might had to go to the bathroom.
The first night of free time I was where do we go but then I figure it Tia , Mattie, Taryn , Kara and me all hang out it was so much fun !! I was like what are we going to do tomorrow.
It was so much fun when we got to go to free time because I was like the wind is blowing and we can run do what ever we want to like running or walk or what ever It was just so much fun !!!.
The last night of free time I didn't want to leave I just wanted to stay there longer ! much longer ! but I know that I had to leave it was so much fun that last night I really miss it there !.

What I enjoyed about camp was that I made a new friend. Her name was Katelyn Bissell. She is up-stairs. She was really nice, caring, awesome, and kind to me when I asked her if I could bunk with her. She said yes, of course. Then we became better friends on, and on, and on through Camp Oty Okwa.
Then in my trail groups I had people that I did and didn't know, and I had three best friends in my group. They are Tatum T., Alexis B., and Paige W. They were kind, caring, nice, and awesome too. It was fun to see my friend their with me.
What I enjoyed about camp was survival. I had Wormz, as my trail group leader. I got to pick three to four people in a group. I pick Tatum, and Alexis. So it was Tatum, Alexis and me. In survival we had to make a hut, make a fire, find food and water in 45 minutes. In the beginning, Wormz say that we can use your resources. So in my group we made the hut first. Alexis and Tatum did that and I did the fire. Well Alexis and Tatum help me too, but they had to do the hut too. Then when I finished the fire, I help Tatum, and Alexis with the hut. After I went over to the hunt Tatum said should I go find so food?
Alexis and I said sure. After 5 minutes Tatum come back with some hemlock needles. Then I think about want Wormz said about using your resources. Then I though that my group can use Alexis’s water bottle. I asked Wormz and she said yes. Then My group finished but we did not get the fire stated. Then we looked at other groups work and it was nice. After that the whole trail group went back and then we had free time.

Last week the sixth grade students at my school went to Camp Oty Okwa. I had a blast it was so fun and entertaining. Camp was an exciting place to go and just explore. The one thing that I will always remember is the final fire.
The final fire was on the last night of our stay. Everyone was there and everyone had big smile on their faces. We were split into groups and each group had to do a skit. All the skits were different and all were funny.
My favorite skit was preformed by a group leader named Willow. The skit started off as him naming different things like, candy wrappers, empty bags, old food, dirty laundry, and old news papers. Then another group leader named Owl asked Willow what he was doing and Willow shouted ”I’m just talking trash!”
The skit was so funny and dramatic. I found the skit a little too dramatic but that’s what made it even more funny. When Willow shouted “I’m just talking trash” he said it like in a little kid voice but he kinda sounded like he was trying to be a big kid at the same time.
I couldn’t stop laughing. I tried to stop but the more I tried to stop the more I laughed. I laughed so much that everyone kept looking at me. I know I wasn’t the only one laughing though because a lot of people found the skit funny too.

Some people ask what did you enjoy about camp, I say everything. It was a blast. From sleeping to hiking, the only thing I wish was that I had more people I new in my trail group and my table group. I only new one person in my table group and three in my trail group.
The thing that made camp special for me was all the activities that we did. We made a hut out of twigs and leaves, went to split rock, and a lot of caves.
The thing I liked best was going to split rock. There are a lot of slides and places to climb, and the fat man squeeze. People go in the fat man squeeze every year. But this year we were not allowed because a couple of months ago someone visiting got stuck and they had to call 911 to get them out. You can also jump across the tops of rocks, and climb in the tunnels .
The thing I will remember for a couple of years is when we were at the last night camp fire and all the little plays all of the groups did, and the teachers.

Camp was so much fun!!!! I loved everything we did at camp, but the one thing that stood out to me was split rock!!!
Split rock was my favorite because split rock is basically a bunch of rocks on top of each other. It was so fun to climb on the rocks and because of how some of the rocks were placed there were a bunch of tiny gaps and holes you could climb through!!
But my favorite part about split rock was seeing the friendships and to see people working together!! If anybody needed help getting on a rock somebody would be there to give them a hand!! I had an experience with this first hand!!
When we were in split rock Alexis, Alexis, and I were exploring this area and I went down into this little hole and there was no where to go but back up, but the problem was I couldn't get back out. Alexis was standing right above the hole and she told Lance that I couldn't get out. Lance came over and gave me a hand and helped me out. That was an example of people helping each other out.
The one thing that I will remember about camp when I think about it over the next few years would have to be the final fire. I will always remember the final fire because of all the funny skits we did. I will always remember the smiles and laughs on everyone's faces and just seeing everybody let loose and just have fun. Another thing that I will always remember was seeing everybody just let loose and run free at split rock!!!
What made camp a really special event to me would have to be the experience. I will probably never get to experience anything like that again!!! I am so happy that I got to go to camp with the entire 6th grade and make camp an experience that I will never forget!!!

My favorite thing at camp Oty'Okwa was split rock. Split rock was my favorite thing because it was fun to jump off rocks onto other rocks. Although I got a little scratched up but still it was the best, I think a lot of people liked split rock because just seeing tunnels and going through them all. Most of the time at split rock I was running out caves and tunnels zooming past the people I past.
Split rock also was cool because the things you could climb up and through. Climbing through tunnels could be hard or it could be easy enough to just climb through. Sometimes while I was trying to go through a tunnel I hit my head and got scratched up a little bit in the process.
Of course all of camp was fun but not as fun as split rock.
