What Did You Enjoy about Camp?

The thing that I really liked about camp is that everybody just changed there personality. I thought that the people I had to bunk with I would hate it but I actually really liked it everybody was nice and just having lots of fun. I never would of thought people act the way they do until now. It made it really special for me when people were just always wanting to do things for other people if they didn't know how to or just didn't understand it. People changed a lot and even now that were back at camp I still talk to some of the people I started to talk to at camp and they're still the same even tho they might be by there friends that they are use to and always are by.

In a couple years for now I'm always going to look back at Camp and remember when Bailea and I were walking up a steep hill and it was really muddy our boots were sinking in the mud while we were trying to walk up the hill. So we hooked arms so we could be more helpful to each other we were fine for a couple of seconds then all the sudden we both start slipping and sliding we almost fall straight on our face. So we put are hands down and caught each other. Then we got up and started to laugh because everybody else made it up perfectly fine and was going up to camp for free time and was hanging out with there friends. But then when it came to her and I we almost fell right on our face and took like an extra five minutes to get off of the muddy hill to the grass so at least we could wipe all the mud off.

What I will remember the most is the survival activities the hiking the stuff I seen but the biggest thing that I will remember for the rest of my life was the survival activities.I liked hiking and building a shelter out of big sticks and we did not get all the way done but it was still fun. My favorite thing was going to we explored it and there was a lot of ice and I slipped a lot.It was a lot of fun there was a ice slide that I went down it and I got wet.we made a fire and we made  

and we tried hemlock tea it was not very good but what can you expect it was just hemlock tree leaves and boiled tea it took about 5 minutes to boil and the it was ready to drink it was green and I thought that it would be good because it was tea and I like tea.

There was a big ice block it was taller than me and it was in the water to. their was a lot of sandstone and we made face paint. there was a like drop of that we could not explore down in the droop off but I wanted to. in my trail group was Luke, Jaherd, Levi, Mattie, Jillian, Brylee, Josie, Devin, chase, Megan, Abby, Jaren and Hayden was in my group at camp oty' okwa. I would like to go again it was so much fun.

Abby he meant Willow and Owl faced Mr McDonald like Willow and Owl went against him in a nursery rhyme battle. I think Owl was that guy that announced most of the final fire skits. 

I enjoyed sitting around at the dinning place. The reason I liked that is because a boy at my table named Jeremy looks up to me. I helped him with everything he needed.
he was talking to me and he goes Gracie? Before I got to say a word he goes why does everyone make fun of me? I was shocked I didn't know what to say. I said well Jeremy there some people who aren't nice. He goes why I said I don't know Jeremy. He goes okay.
Once I got to know him all I could do is smile. We went to the same school and I didn't see how smart he is. All I could do is smile when I was around him. He made up this dance that he does and I laughed. Once I sat around Jeremy he started telling me all this stuff.
I always thought that you should never judge anyone and I told Jeremy and he goes I'm not gonna let anyone get to me.
Jeremy is the sweetest kid I know. He was telling me about how he told his sister to keep his bed worm why he was gone. When I looked at Jeremy I thought why can't everyone just be nice to everyone.
The thing I wanna say is start to get know people more. There was a couple other people who sat at my table that I have never said a word to before.
What made it special for me?
The thing that made it special is that I got to make people smile. The best feeling to have is to make someone smile.
I also got to meet people from the upstairs that I didn't even know there name. When I got to know them I felt like I knew them for a long time.
What did I like best?
The thing that I like best is I got to help a kid that was feeling down about there self than now they aren't afraid about what people think about him.
What will I remember in the next few years about camp?
I will remember not only the fun that I had but how I got to watch people have a good time. I liked how everyone had a smile on there face. I also liked how I got to put a smile on other peoples faces.
What does Camp Oty'Okwa mean to me?
If I could ever go back to camp I would. It was such a great experience. I wish are hikes would of been longer and we had less free time. I know that sounds bad but I would of liked to hike longer.
Camp brought me closer to people I haven't talked to in a while and people I never met. Maybe I saw someone in the halls but know i know there name well most of them at least.
All we did was we got there unloaded found out what bunk we were gonna be in made our bed, talked,had some free time. Than the Hoppers had to go in. You are probable thinking whats a hopper? A hopper is someone who goes in a sets up for that meal. Well the hoppers did that than I was a hopper the first day we go outside we stand in our table groups than we go in than the hoppers go through the line and gets the food.
After lunch
After lunch we went on a hike and we learned about all kinds of stuff. After a three hour hike we came back and had more free time than there was a different hopper each meal.
Dinner
We ate dinner than we did a craft that night. We worked with a partner to make these little pouches to put good memories in and you could decorate them. If you wanted to. I had so much fun. You had to take this thing I think it was a certain kind of fabric and you had to take this thing that had a nail sticking out of it and punch the fabric through and After you got all the holes done you had to take a sting and put it through the holes. Than after that you could put like beads and feathers on it.

CAMP was the bomb!!!! What I enjoyed at camp was that when we were done with our meal and done cleaning up our table we would sing a song right after every single meal. I thought that the singing brought everybody so close together. If you were in Mr. McDonald's class in 5th grade last year you would have known all of the songs that we sang at camp because he would sing them every single Friday .and we would she them in science class. Mr McDonald is a really good singer when it comes to all of the camp songs.

Another reason I think the singing was fun was because when we went to the camp fire Thursday night we sang all kinds of songs and I just had the best time of my life.Also I like how we did some skits and them we did some more song them we did more skits and more songs till the big campfire was completely over. Every single day after breakfast,lunch or dinner we would sing a song. After camp I could not stop singing the songs
