Sixth Grade Outdoor Education Camp was amazing. Students were well-behaved and had a blast. The one thing I enjoyed the most was all the smiles. Every where I looked I saw smiling faces. Every time I looked at a student I got a smile. The friendship and warmth was the best. In the dining hall during each meal students everywhere were just having fun. Table after table was filled with big loopy grins and happy faces. At every meal I looked forward to walking around and visiting for a minute with table groups. As I walked around the room, every place I stopped I was greeted with a big smile. This made camp fun for me. What did you enjoy about camp? What really made it a special event for you? What did you like best? As you think back on camp over the next few years, what will you remember?

I really enjoyed camp I enjoyed all of it. But I have to say my favorite part was hiking and being on trail. One of the things we did on trail is go to Split Rock. Split Rock is a bunch of giant rocks sticking 20 feet in the air with a bunch of secret passages and walkways in between and through. We also did activities like Survival. In Survival we learned to make and find four things, Fire, Water, Shelter, and Food. We also did and learned about other things like using a compass called Orienteering. We also did Forest Ecology where we studied trees and forest ecosystems. And then there was my favorite Geology. Which we learned about rocks, and the three kinds, Metamorphic, Igneous, and Sedimentary. That is also the class where we went to Split Rock.
Split Rock is amazing with rocks of all sizes you can climb all over and do whatever you want. If i could go back that is the one thing i would do. I will remember Split Rock for the rest of my life.
As I look back on camp I will always remember The Final Fire, skits, Caves, Hills, Rocks, and fun. That's what I will remember about camp and my awesome experience at Camp Oty Okwa

Being at camp was a BLAST!I really enjoyed being with my friends and having a good time and just being able to be myself. The best part of camp I enjoyed was being outdoors.Every time we lined up for our trail groups I raced outside to my group and got excited to be outdoors. I LOVED the caves that we went to they were so beautiful,I wish I brought a camera because a moment like that is almost impossible to explain.Being in the caves calmed me like I was at home or in a paradise, the waterfalls in the caves were frozen solid and it looks impossible for waterfalls to freeze like that, but then you realize that nature is really amazing in many ways. The cave I enjoyed the most was The Hidden Cave. The Hidden Cave was more remote and peaceful so I liked it more than the first cave I went to. I also liked one of the classes I got to go to and that was survival.Survival was fun because you had to make your own shelter and you had to use all of your resources to figure out what you would need to survive. Some people had some knowledge of learning how to survive in the wild and others did not.Everybody got twenty five points for each resource they used to survive. The resources we used were in order from importance that you would need to survive.First was water because you can only go a few days without water because humans are made up of mostly water.Second came shelter because you need to stay warm and have somewhere to stay away from wild animals.Third is food because you can go almost a month without food but you still need strength to survive.Fourth was fire, you may think you need fire first, but you have to save your energy making a shelter and getting water you can drink because making a fire without matches takes a lot of energy. I felt that everyone was having a good time because everybody was smiling constantly, including me! :DI had a really good time at camp and being outdoors to me that was the fun part of camp and I wish we could have stayed longer. :)If there was something I would change about camp it would be we get more time to sleep. (zzz)They let us stay up late but we had to get up early like a school day.I woke up every day at camp and every day I was barely awake, but overall camp was fun, and having a fun time took my focus away of being grumpy and sleepy.

Camp Oty' Okwa.....
I loved it when I got to sing in front of the whole 6th grade, It was a special time where the crowd just faded and it was me singing I loved all the compliments and the majority of the boys said stuff like,
"Wow Jackie, I didn't know you could sing. You're really good."
And my reply would always be the same I would say,
"Thanks."
And Then I would smile and walk away. I love to sing , I always have and I always will, That day I will never forget because I got so many compliments it just made me smile, It made my day I smile even when I think about it.
One girl even said that I should audition for American Idol because I was so good.
And as I think back on camp over the next few years, that is what I will remember. I think (know) that I will remember that day forever. =)

The thing I enjoyed most at camp was, meeting the counselors and having fun at Split Rocks.
The reason why camp was such a special event is because when I'm in the forest I let go and let my thoughts flood my mind and just have fun. When I was having fun at split rock with my friends we found lost of secret passages and hiding spots. At split rock I got lost, I had to call for help and try to find my friends and partner. I finally found my partner and we had to climb up a rock that was a little bit low to the ground and as we climbed up the rock I saw a good place to look at and so I gathered my friends and we were checking it out. While we were checking out the dark cave, I wandered away from my friends and was watching a turkey walk a crossed the ground in the distance. I was watching that turkey and it had finally bored me so I had caught up with my friends and we all went back to our group and we left.
I liked split rock the most because its not everyday you will get to see a rock like that. Rocks like split rock are cool but not always safe. On my way to split rock with my group there was a girl, she had slipped on a rock and hit her head, she was ok but, she had a bruise that would hurt for a few days. Just remember split rock is not always safe so don't do stupid things on top of them.
As I look back at the two and a half days at camp I will remember the snakes that was brought in. Why will I remember the snakes? I will remember the snakes because snakes are my second favorite animal, snakes are small and smooth also fast and quiet. I love snakes for their capability of shrinking their bones to get places like under a door elevated about an inch off the ground or sliding under a house.

I think the best thing about camp was the rock formations like split rock and counseler's cave. I mean sure, getting there was difficult but just getting there suddenly made everything worth it! Although I have to say, the best of the two was split rock there was so much to explore and I saw all the spots with great views! Because of that I will never forget camp Oty-Akwa!

The one thing that made camp special for me was the campfire. The campfire made it special for me because it was always fun or cool. I liked when he said we would make a gentle rain shower. We made all different sounds with our hands that really made it sound like a rain shower. I also liked all the skits we made. Every single one was funny but mine. We did a skit with toothbrushes and they aren't very funny . The other reason I liked the campfire was because of how we respected how long camps been there . Well everyone I think I'm done here. I hope you liked this post because there is going to be more so bye.

Camp was amazing. Like around the earth the cow jumped over the moon amazing. But the one thing that really stood out to me was that everywhere you went you had different people in your group and different people to hang out with but they always treated you like you were their only team. For example, we had meal groups, trail groups, and bunking groups. And you never had anyone in one group in all three of your groups, I had Chloe in 2 of my groups though. And the best friend that is amazing was in my lunch group (she told me to put that). Everyone in my group was always supportive. For another example, at Split Rock (a place at camp that there are big cracks and caverns in this big land of rock) I really couldn't get on this rock and Marissa and Skylar helped me. And I thought that was nice because they took away their time to have fun and run around and leave me out, but they decided to stop and help their best friend Abigail! And in our lunch group we would always joke around then after lunch we would still hang out. Like Lexi, or Megan. And if we had a MVP in our lunch group, it would be Megan! She was an awesome helper. And always helped people out. She always used manners and everything. And she is really nice. She was AWESOME! And in our bunking groups. We were considerate of others and were supportive. Even though some people took five billion showers a day we were still good! And everyone was always nice. We always did each others hair (cough cough Kara and Me, cough cough ). And after all even though we were all in different groups if we would see each other on the trails we would scream "HI!" at each other. And at camp I had a blast!! I will always remember that if you don't have teamwork, or friends to help you, you can't be a spec on a fluffy dandelion.

When you think back you will probably remember the time you when to camp! I know that I will. We Just went to camp Oty' Okwa and it was a blast. I will always remember camp because it was one of the best times of my life. I will remember Hanging out with my friends, Eating meals with friends and having a good time hiking! Even though I got tired.
When I really look back on camp that one big thing I remember is my fall at Split Rock. Split rock is where all these rocks are almost fitted together and there are these spaces in between them. They are really rough too. I was with one of my friends and they offered their hand tome I was reaching for their hand and my foot slipped and I fell down. I really had a near death experience because there was 2 rocks pointing out and I fell right in between them. My friend was really surprised and got really nervous and freaked out a little. So we rushed back to the leaders of the Forest Ecology Hike and she sat me down and fixed me up. Then Mrs. Hoyt and I walked all the way back to the dining hall so I could get some ice on my Bump! I will always remember my Rock Fall at Split Rock.
I really enjoyed camp. I have to say what I liked about camp was all the laughter and smiles and we all had fun together. i love laughing and giggling and there was this funny part where this girl in my group named Marrissa and I became best friend over 3 days. Weird isn't it. See those are the kind of things that I really enjoyed and I will remember those things too!
See camp was kinda a special event for me because I always wanted to go to camp and do all the Hikes, Crafts, and make new friends. So when I heard we were going to camp I freaked. It was very special for me. I really liked all the things about camp except the waking up early in the morning and the steep hills. But the special thing was I got to make brand new friends like with a girl named Marrissa. I really like the specialty from camp!
The one most thing of all the I love, love, love, love the most was the final fire. The final fire is when everybody from camp gathers around and we have a huge fire with fun things that happen. We also do these crazy skits. Ours was The Royal Raison where this king wants his raison's and he can't find them anywhere and it turns out to be rabbit poo. There were more funny things we did. We sang funny songs and in the end we did this thing where we tried to call rain. There was thunder so it was weird. Then we were all tired and we went to sleep.
Camp has really been one of the best times of my life!

Split Rock!!!
Our sixth grade camp was so much fun, with everybody running around and laughing and smiling but I think the best part of camp was being on split rock. Split rock are these humongous rocks and caves that you can go through and wonder around. It was so fun to go through all toughs caves and squeezing through the little tiny walls not knowing where it would be leading to. It was like a big maze going through everything even though me and my friends Danny and Jared fell a million times. The rocks were huge. They were like 20 feet high.
When we first got there we had no idea how to get down them but there was a bunch of little tiny caves that you had to go down and then when I wanted back up on top of the rocks and caves it took forever because I had no idea where I was going. I thought it was so cool just to see the humongous rocks and caves and to be able to see them with my own eyes and wonder through them was so much fun.
We also learned some things about the rocks too. I found out that the big gigantic rocks were called sedimentary rocks and there is also some other kinds of rocks, one was metamorphic rocks and the other kind of rock was igneous rocks. Even tough everything was fun at camp I think that was defiantly the best part about it.

The Final camp fire was awesome we song campfire songs each trail group did a skit in my trail group was Rylee,Blake,Logan,Wyatt,Caroline,Alexis A.,Alexis D., Jocelyn,Carrie,Natasha Jonah,Jarred and Jessica .Also Willow and Owl faced Mr.McDonald and a student in a nursery rhyme battle. Jackie W. song just the way you are by Bruno mars. The funniest part of the final fire was when the teachers did there skit Mr. McDonald act like Mr. Kenny And Mr McDonald ask all the teachers for his Important paper and the hole time he meant his toilet paper it was so funny .If your a sixth grader that hasn't went to camp Oty'Okwa I recommend you do go.Also Before we left we did a Indian rhythm to make it rain it was still fun to do even though it didn't work. After the Final Campfire we went back to our cabins took showers and went to bed.It was a blast you could ask any sixth grader that went.Again If you have the chance I recommend you go.

The best thing about camp. Well that is a hard decision we did so many fun things. Counselor's cave , Split rock and so on. But the the main thing would have to be doing it with my friends.
Free time with my friends we were have fun everything we did was fun together and I really enjoyed doing all that stuff with my friends. Hanging with my friends made camp special to me by well just being with my friends. And every body being happy and hanging with their friends.
Hope N. was in every group with me. I got to bunk with Devin J. And Sara W. head to head , and under Sara was Leah D. That was something else to do with my friends. Oh yea and I almost forgot I got to eat with Devin J. and Leah D. Also I still go to talk to Sara W. at lunch by sitting back to back with each other. Because my table was number 15 and Her's was 14. So I got to do a lot of things with my friends.
The reason that being with my friends was the best part of camp is for a lot of reasons. They make me smile and laugh and have a good time. And whenever I was with them I did those things. And that made me happy and that is why I had fun. Going to split rocks counselor's cave, even to camp in general if my friends weren't there to enjoy the time with me there I would of not had fun. And none of that stuff would matter to me. I mean think of not being able to talk to your best friends the whole entire time.
I was not going to go to camp then when I Sara she seemed depressed and I decided to go for her. And I am glad I did because I got to see her and she got to see me.
So that is what my favorite part of camp ,was what is your's? Would of it been worth it with out your friends.

The thing the I enjoyed the most was probably split rock. Split rock is a place were there are a lot of rocks but they are like spred apart a little bit so you have to like jump to get to the other rock. Also there are big cracks between the rocks which is what makes it scary. I think it was the best because you could pretty much do want you wanted. We had the group there then we went over the rules and the DON'TS. Then are group leader told us to go explore. I was with Gracieanne for most of the time but later we met up with Brieanna and Gayla.
Later we all went to the teachers and explored with them and that was what made it really fun again because we went through this spot that was kinda scary and it kinda helped me get over a little bit of my fear. At that spot you had to step on the edge of a rounded rock and lean to another rock. The teachers were helping us go over that rock and helped us find new cool places to go. It was really funny for Mrs.Webb because she gets scared when we are by heights and it looked like she was going to cry sometimes.

I really like how you used people and names for example, usually people just say "that kid" or "that dude". But I also think you should rethink and put "My friends (Danny and Jared) and I" Instead of "me and my friends Danny and Jared" Keep Up The Good Work

Well I didn't go to camp but there was a couple of other people that didn't go to camp like Jazmine my best friend Tyler,Noah and I forget the rest but I had a lot of fun not going to camp We made games like we looked up any famous person we wanted and he gave us a a paper game bored and we had to color it and look up facts about our famous person. Then we read for a little bit and then we had lunch and had to eat with the fifth graders and we also had recces with the fifth graders.
The when the fifth graders went in we still where having recces so we had extra recces. And the next day we did our game boards and we played our games with people and I won against Jazmine. On the last day we read and then we went to lunch and then we played out side and when we went in and we were going to go back out side but instead we played heads up seven it was sooo fun!!!!!!! And I only got out once and that was because I couldn't stop smiling!!!! And that is what I did when I did't go to camp with every body else.
