How is the New Year Going?

It is a good year so far. I am having a good time at school and now I have new friend so that makes me happy. Their names are Tabby, Emma A., and Eric. I also like my teachers that also makes me really happy because some years I did not like my teacher/s. My teachers names are Mr. McGuire, Mrs. Hardin, Mrs. Huysman, and Mrs. Webb.

My bus ride is long and really boring. I sit by my best friend on the bus so that is a good thing. I get on the bus at 7:10 am, I think that is really early!

My new year in sixth grade at Salt Creek is going good so far, I have made a couple new friends that are really nice. I love all of my classes and my school days are really fun and exciting. During the school day what makes it really fun and exciting is not knowing what we are going to do in the next class, I love the feeling of being excited about school. Also I think that all my classes push me to be better and I think with that push I can make my goals and be better in school.



My family has always thought that school is important and I do too but I haven't always liked school but since the first day of school I have loved school. Over the summer I was really nervous about sixth grade because all of my friends were upstairs, but on the first day I met some really nice kids and thought that this year won't be so bad after all. Even though my friends are in different classes I still see them in the hall which is good because that means if next year we are in the same classes we will have a lot to talk about. Also a good thing is that I am friends with all types of kids.



What I think sixth grade will help me so far is it will give me new chances. In sixth grade we get to do some really cool things like go to camp, and get to be the top dogs! But one thing that I don't like about sixth grade is feeling still like a little kid, always at Pickaway I thought sixth graders were so older and bigger but now I seem so small. But so far, this year is going great and I can't wait for the exciting things that will happen in sixth grade!

I have had a lot of fun so far here at Salt Creek Intermediate. The teachers are nice and we sing in Language Arts class with Mr. McGuire all the time.

Just a few days ago we had a contest in Math and who ever won got a full size candy bar!

Also in Science we do a lot of experiments that involve secret substances.

And in Social Studies we made our own map with a partner It was actually pretty fun.

But different than I expected I thought we were going to come into class and crack open a textbook. I am still kinda nervous around the teachers but I'm glad all of them have a sense of humor. I love it when we switch classes and all the teachers come out and start yelling at each other about all sorts of things. But of course there just joking around well at least most of the time.

Also at recess I usually play four square or kickball and occasionally basketball. There is a lot of kids just like me who love sports and being athletic here at Salt Creek. I have lots of friends to like Hunter, Jeremy, Brady , Kyle and JC.

The year is the best cause Friday Aug. 28 I went to Kings Island and rode all of the roller coasters.The best coaster was the Banshee it was the largest inverted (that means upside down roller coaster i think) roller coaster. this was my experience that made it the best year ever and i`m going again next year.
The other thing is I got to ride the water rides and I got extremely wet.


I like the classes cause I thought it would be just work and no adding something to make it interesting so i`m glad that it didn't end with a total freak out because of a bunch of homework assignments. I just hope I don’t end up failing cause in my head there is a whole lot I don`t want happening this year. I just don’t know if i’m going to survive this year since i'm so restless sometimes.



There is just a couple bad things (1) One of my dogs died. (2) The worst thing is I have to do homework}. I'm just stuck on the fact I don't ever get my own computer. School this year is half fun half work its better than just siting around and playing games on a computer all day. I have just one thing to say this is the best school i have ever been to (1) No PE (2) I don't have to do everything at home half the day. (3) Its an excuse out of doing choirs.


       

The school year has been awesome so far. I like singing and getting on the computer in Mr. McGuire's homeroom. I also love the math teacher Mrs. Hardin Because she likes the Ohio State Buckeyes football team and she watches Nascar just like me.

Then there`s Mrs. Huysman`s homeroom she has 6 turtles 3 in a pond and 3 more in a cage and she has 1 frog they are so cool. Then the last teacher Mrs. Webb shes funny, she`s nice and it`s very cool to be in her classroom. all the teachers that I have is not what I was expecting but there the ones I wanted so its a big win to me this year I think is going to be awesome because I have the best teachers.

the principal of SaltCreek Mr. Kinny he`s the nicest principal you could have he says he don`t like suspending students from school. so I'm going to get along with everybody at SaltCreek.

This year has been amazing so far at Salt Creek. I never knew how it felt to be a 6th grader. I thought the teachers would be really strict and the homework would be twice as hard, but 6th grade isn't too bad. I am super super super excited for camp and my friend, Sydney, told me it was the best!
I've had some pretty confusing times though. Sometimes I'm not focusing and I'm thinking of something else and I get confused, and sometimes I just forget how to do something ... but otherwise, I'm having an awesome time!



I have people in my class that I saw last year, but I also have people in my class that I've never seen before. I finally got to see my friend, Tyler again! I also have some new friends that I didn't even know before the first day of school.



I'm not sure if I really like having art the first half of the year and music the second half because I love art, but I don't want to go to music every tuesday for the second half of the year. I rather have art and music even and switch back and forth. But the year has just been terrific!

So far this year has been awesome I wanted to be down stairs sixth grade at Salt Creek and I am. Its different than I thought it would its more amazing.
In Language Arts I'm have so much fun singing and reading also Mr.McGuire is funny,cool,and just amazing. I thought this year was going to be amazing and it is. Just being in Mr.McGuire's class is amazing. The class I like best is Language Arts I also like Math,and Science. This year is awesome so far and I don't want it to change.

I love Math the second because so far I've learned a ton of things already. Ms. Harden is some what nice about we learn a ton of things in there. I thought this year Math was going to be hard but it not so far.
Science is my third favorite so far its close to being second. I like science because we do labs and look at animals in the classroom.I thought it was going to be hard but I get it a little bit.
