What I enjoyed most about D.A.R.E is how humorous Deputy Thomas is. He makes a joke every second he gets! Last time my class had D.A.R.E he asked us to draw, on paper, what we do to relieve our stress. I drew a piano, cause that's what I do to relieve my stress. I play piano. Once Deputy Thomas saw my drawing he said "So, to relieve your stress you play with baby toys? Aren't you a little too old for that?"
One thing I learned from D.A.R.E is how much worse drugs and alcohol is than what I thought. I always thought, 'Well yeah.. It's bad, but I mean one time can't hurt you that much..' and well.. I was way wrong. I also learned . I have also learned how to solve situations better. You define the problem assess it, resolve it, then evaluate it and see if you made a good choice or not.
Something I will always remember about D.A.R.E is one of the first classes we had. Deputy Thomas let everyone who wanted to put on goggles that make your eye sight weird. He made a tape bridge and he had us, the people who wanted to do it, try to walk inside of the tape so we don't fall into the 'lava'. Then after we 'walked across' the 'bridge' Deputy Thomas tossed a tennis ball at us, and we had to catch it. Putting on the goggles was weird, because when you put on the goggles, when you look down, your feet are all the way across the room.

The one thing I enjoyed about dare is going outside for extra recess because every one in my class had their dare shirts on. One thing I learned in dare is that some drugs are bad for you and some drugs are not. And that dare means drug, abuse, resistance, education. The one thing I will always remember about dare is that their are some drugs that are harmful to you and that you should never use them.

Hi everybody! Today I will be writing about D.A.R.E. I will be giving examples about what I learned and what I have enjoyed. I will tell you what D.A.R.E. stands for and why D.A.R.E. is important. Please enjoy!
In D.A.R.E. we talk about lots of things. We've talked about drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, stress, and what all of this has to do with us. What I'm going to tell you about today is what we did this week while we were in class.
This week we talked about stress. We talked about it is really annoying when parents act like they have all the stress and kids don't have any. We also talked about why everyone has different stress. Everyone has stress. There are different stress levels, they range from no stress to high stress. We used different scenarios like moving to a new school and talking in front of the class. I really started to understand how stress comes different to everyone.
Over the time I've spent in D.A.R.E. class, we've learned a lot about drugs and alcohol. I've also learned what D.A.R.E. means. IT Stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. I've also learned about how drugs can effect the way the body reacts to certain things. I learned that doing drugs can hurt you in many ways if you don't use them properly. Even drugs that don't hurt you like Aspirin and Tylenol taken the wrong way can be bad if taken wrongly.
I have really enjoyed D.A.R.E. I feel like I have learned a lot so far. I think I will continue to learn more. I feel like knowing what drugs can do to me will make sure that I never get into doing them. I think that what I like most about D.A.R.E. is that I know I can protect myself from doing and taking drugs and alcohol and smoking. I also wanted to say that I also love how much fun that we have and how much I appreciate Deputy Thomas coming in each day we have D.A.R.E. and teaching up about everything! Thanks for reading!

I like DARE because we learn a lot of things like what would happen if we did drugs or if we smoked cigarets or drank beer. Deputy Thomas teaches you about drugs and what they can do to you and how to react to it. What will remember is that D. A. R. E. means Drug, Abuse, Resistance, Education. We got to see what being drunk would be like and we had to put on these goggles. We got to see what if you smoked a pack of cigarettes for a year.We saw smoking sues and chewing chuck. My D.A.R.E officer is deputy Thomas.

Today I will be talking to you about D.A.R.E.. D.A.R.E.'s actual meaning is Drug Abuse Resistance Education. So you can probably guess what we talk about in D.A.R.E.. So keep reading and I will tell you some of the fun activities that we do in D.A.R.E.. Also I will tell you what my favorite thing that we did in D.A.R.E was. So keep reading to find all of this stuff out.
The most memorable thing that we did in D.A.R.E. was probably when we got to try on the pair of goggles that makes everything look blurry. It was supposed to show you how you see when your drunk. It actually worked too! That is memorable to me because I was the very first person to catch the tennis ball in my class. Actually only 7 of us caught the ball.
Something that I learned in D.A.R.E. was that kids used to pretend to smoke bubblegum cigars or pretend that they were chewing tobacco with Big League Chew bubblegum.I always thought that people just chewed bubble like you're supposed too. Also I learned that only 15% of teenagers do drugs. I thought that about 30% of teenagers did drugs. I thought that the number would be kind of low but not that low!
Finally the thing that I will always remember about D.A.R.E. is that over 75,000 deaths are drug related per year. That is a number that I will always remember. I hope you liked my post. Tune in next time to read about the next topic.

The things that I enjoyed about D.A.R.E is that in D.A.R.E. if you wear the D.A.R.E. shirt on the days you have D.A.R.E. you get extra recess. Also I enjoy that in D.A.R.E. we can talk about stuff that upsets us and we talk about things that can harm us or the things that can make our brain and body act differently than it should. We even talk about different ways with dealing with a situation... But it's nothing like you would regularly learn in school it's more relaxing and you can say stuff that's on your mind without being embarrassed.
Some of the things that I learned in D.A.R.E. is the letters all stand for something. Like D stands for Drugs, A stands for Abuse, R stands for Resistance, and E stands for Education. Also that when you smoke a lot of cigarettes tar builds up in your lungs and it can make your teeth turn yellow.
Something that I will always remember about D.A.R.E. is how Deputy Tomas taught us valuable life lessons and different ways to deal with different situations. And the second meaning of D.A.R.E. when I get in a tough situation.
So that's my post on D.A.R.E. thanks for reading! Bye!

What did I enjoy most about D.A.R.E? What is something I have learned from D.A.R.E? What will I always remember about D.A.R.E?
Something I enjoyed most about D.A.R.E is when Deputy Thomas let us wear the goggles that made everything look weird! Deputy Thomas is the D.A.R.E officer. I liked it when he let us try to walk across the tape bridge with the goggles on. He said I got nowhere close to the bridge! After we walked across the bridge, we had to turn around and try to catch a tennis ball. I didn't come close to catching the tennis ball either! Deputy Thomas said the goggles showed what everything would look like to a person who is drunk. When I had the goggles on, everything looked the same but it was all in different places than before!
Something I've learned from D.A.R.E is that chewing tobacco and smoking tobacco can make people's teeth turn yellow and make their teeth rot. I also learned that tobacco could even cause cancer inside the smoker's or chewer's mouth. Deputy Thomas brought in a set of fake teeth that he called "Chewin' Charlie". Chewin' Charlie's teeth showed what a tobacco chewer's mouth would look like after chewing tobacco for a long time. It was gross! He had cavities, rotted teeth, rotted gums, etc. I think people shouldn't chew or smoke tobacco because it's bad for them!
Something I'll always remember about D.A.R.E is how much I've learned from it! I've learned so much more about how bad alcohol, tobacco, and drugs are for people, and the consequences for using them. I know more about all of those things then I ever have before! I've learned that I always need to stay away from drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, what they can do to people, why I need to stay away, and how to stay away. I will always remember everything I've learned from D.A.R.E.
I've had so much fun at D.A.R.E and I'll miss it a lot. I hope everyone enjoyed my post about D.A.R.E!

My favorite thing about D.A.R.E was deputy Thomas he was really funny but he never smiled, I really learned a lot from him like what cigarettes really do to your body. The one thing that really got my attention was that he always made sure that everyone was treated fare. D.A.R.E was a lot fun and what really made it special was deputy Thomas for what he did to make D.A.R.E possible for Salt Creek.

What did you enjoy most about D.A.R.E.? What's one thing that you've learned about D.A.R.E.? What's something you'll always remember about D.A.R.E.?
I think D.A.R.E is very interesting and a pretty amazing program. I get to learn about a lot of stuff, like stress and how to relieve stress, and how smoking can affect people.
My most favorite thing I have done and learned in D.A.R.E is when I did the impaired goggles. The impaired goggles are goggles that make a person walk like they are drunk. So I had to put them on and try to walk on this "bridge" in a straight line. After that I had to turn around and try to catch a tennis ball. The main purpose of the goggles was to see that when you drink and drive it is very dangerous because the goggles we used were only if you drank a small amount of alcohol and they were impaired enough to show that it is very dangerous to even drink a small amount of alcohol.
Another one of my favorite things my class and I did and learned about in D.A.R.E was when we talked about stress. Deputy Thomas (D.A.R.E teacher) told us that stress can be about anything even excitement can cause stress or be stressful. He also said that if we just breath that that can calm down our stress level. So we did an activity where there were four sections of stress; no stress, low stress, medium stress, and high stress. Then there would be a question and we had to go to which category level of stress we would fit under. The activity was really cool to see how each person is affected by stress.
One last thing I learned in D.A.R.E is that smoking can ruin your lungs while tar builds up on them. Even though I already knew that I actually got to see the tar and stuff after a short period and after a long period of time. I also got to see what it can do to your teeth even though chewing tobacco has a greater effect on your teeth.
I have learned a lot in D.A.R.E. One thing that I will remember though is Deputy Thomas, the D.A.R.E teacher. Deputy Thomas is a hilarious guy. He always is telling a joke whether I understand it or not. One time when my class and I were learning about smoking and tobacco he pulled out a fake liver and acted like it was going to hit me. I was so scared I jumped. I was really embarrassed, but at the same time it was hilarious.
I think D.A.R.E is a really neat program. I have learned about so many different things and I have done so many different things. So far D.A.R.E has taught me how to relieve stress and not to use drugs or smoke.

The one thing I mostly enjoyed about D.A.R.E was the D.U.I. We had glasses that made it hard to see. Deputy Thomas made a little bridge made out of tape we had to walk in between the lines and when we finish he would through us a tennis ball. We had to try to catch.
I learned that if you do drugs or smoke it would affect your lungs and how you breath. People wouldn't be able to do the things that you enjoyed and the things that they use to do. Like dancing, running, swimming, etc. It could also cause people their lives.
I will always remember what D.A.R.E. stands for. The D in D.A.R.E. stands for drugs bad drugs. The A stands for abuse that means that you use the drugs in a bad way. The R stands for resistance that means they do drugs without resisting. The E stands for Education that means learning about teaching kids not to do drugs.
I really enjoyed D.A.R.E. can't wait to learn more.

The thing I enjoyed the most about D.A.R.E is the D.U.I goggles. The D.U.I goggles show you what it's like to be drunk. What we had to do is walk between two blue tape lines then turn around and catch a tennis ball. It was hard because the goggles throw your vision off a little to the right. Also the tennis ball looked liked it was going to the side so you would go to the side but it would hit. Some people came close some people were way off. That's why it was my favorite.
One thing I've learned at D.A.R.E is that you should stay away from drugs. Most people already know this but Deputy Thomas has informed us more about what the drugs are and what they can do to you. One example that Deputy Thomas talked about was how their are starter drugs like Tobacco and Cigarettes. Then there are some hard drugs like Crack and Marijuana. Deputy Thomas also talked about what they can do to you like slow down or speed up your heart or give you some type of cancer.
One thing I will always remember about D.A.R.E is the name and what it means, Drug Abuse Resistance Education. Helping us stay away from drugs and keep away. I'll always remember the the story's he said about drugs and stress. Like when he talked about a guy that got robbed and Deputy Thomas went to his house and he was yelling and throwing stuff. Then he punched a wall and broke his hand. I also remember some of the facts he told us like it is illegal to run away or or you could be arrested for hosting a party and knowing underage kids were drinking beer.

What do I like about D. A. R. E. what will remember is that D. A. R. E. means Drug, Abuse, Resistance, Education. Deputy Thomas teaches you about drugs and what they can do to you and how to react to it.
We got to see what being drunk would be like and we had to put on these D.U.I. goggles and walk on a bridge of tape and then we had to catch a ball.We got to see smoking Suse and chewing Chuck. We got to see what if you smoked a pack of cigarettes for a year and that cigarettes have tar in them.
We leaned what chewing tobacco can rot your teeth and give you gum cancer. we learned that cigarettes can kill you because the toxins in cigarettes get trapped in your lungs so you can not breath and when you can not get oxygen you can not breath so you die because of a cigarette.
If you want to learn more about drugs and tobacco join D.A.R.E.

What did I learn about D.A.R.E?D.A.R.E stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. We have been learning how to deal with though situations when it comes to drug use.We learn about what drugs can do to you if you use them in the wrong way.
Not all drugs are bad, when you say drug you think of smoking and drinking, but that is not always the case. Some drugs are used for something simple that happens to you like a headache. We know those drugs as medicine. You cant just take medicine and keep taking it,you could take a overdose and it could put you in great danger. All drugs change the way our mind and body works, that is why you can only take a certain amount of medicine.
Many people start out doing drugs by candy.Have you ever saw candy sticks and kids pretend they are smoking them?Well basic things like that can make someone have interest in doing real drugs like smoking and chewing tobacco.Another problem that happens to kids is they start drugs early, they start smoking and drinking then cant stop.the bad thing about this is the younger you are the more a drug will effect you.
There is a certain age limit for drugs and alcohol. To drink you have to be 21 years old because alcohol has a big effect on a young persons body and by the time you are 21 you should pretty much finished growing by then so your body can take it without having a big effect.Drinking alcohol can effect you depending on how much you drink it,if you drink small amounts and you are responsible with the amount you are drinking it wont effect you as much and you will be fine.
People often make mistakes on the choices they make on how to take drugs, they take an overdose and they change. When someone is acting different because of bad drugs that is not a good thing.Bad drugs can make you have many health issues and they can make you have a harder life. You don't have to be one of those people who make bad choices, you can make your own decisions.

What did you enjoy most about D. A. R. E.? The thing I enjoyed most at D.A.R.E. is learning about how drinking alcohol or wine is bad in your system, How stress is good and bad, And a closer look at drugs. D.A.R.E stands for Drug, Abuse, Resistance, Education.
Alcohol and wine isn't very good for your system. Deputy Thomas said honestly alcohol doesn't taste good. People just drink it so much they get used to it and think it's good. Alcohol is bad for you. It effects the Liver, the Heart, and the lungs. If you drink beer everyday you won't stop. It's okay to have one here and there but if you drink to much you will get addicted.
Last week we had some questions and we had to walk to how high or low our stress would be. There was No Stress, Low Stress, Medium Stress, and High Stress. We had to decide how we would feel about sports, moving to another country. It can be difficult if you have lots of stress. You just need to take a breath and relax.
When we learned about how bad drugs could harm you and how if you have to much you can get addicted and after you don't have it for awhile then you can start going crazy. I asked deputy Tomas on a scale 1-10 how bad is chewing tobacco he said 10! That upset me because my dad chews and I don't want my dad to get mouth cancer and get sick or perhaps die. It's sad if someone you love is doing drugs or something bad for them because you never know when you will lose them.
