My favorite genre is adventure. I like adventure because books with adventure force me to keep reading. You don't want to read a book that's boring, right? The best book I've read this year is Divergent. It has action and some romance but mainly action! It has guns, people die and person gets stabbed in the eye!

My favorite genre is Scary Mystery. I like it because it scares me and makes my heart pump. Some time it makes me paranoid when i'm home alone. A good scary author is Robert Liparulo. He writes the DreamHouse Kings Series. Scary Mysteries are my favorite.

My favorite genre is fantasy because I like dragons and other things like hobbits. I just love books like that, like The Hobbit, The Heroes Of Olympus and Lord Of The Rings. I like them a lot just because I like castles and old stories about long ago. That is why I like fantasy. I also books about real things.

My favorite genre is adventure. Adventure is my favorite genre because I love books that keep you on the edge of your seat. I love when characters struggle to complete there obstacle and when they overcome it they find that going on adventures is great. I love when I can't put down a book, when it's really that good and you just have to keep reading. Sometimes when I read adventure books they change my personality for that week. If the book has so much persuasion on a reader then obviously the book is a must read! One book that fits into the genre adventure is Insurgent by Veronica Roth. It effected my choice because it has so much detail and adventure! Insurgent fits into adventure because in one of the scenes while the dauntless are in initiates they play a game where two teams split up and try to hide a flag and then they switch areas and try to find the opponents flag and whoever finds it first wins. Tris is determined to climb up a feris wheel to be on a high level so she can scout out the other team and see when and if they are coming to find there flag and while she is climbing Tobias follows her to make sure she is okay even though he is terrified of height. That is a lot of adventure! I hope you enjoy! -Abigail P.

I like all sorts of genre but my favorites are science fiction and adventure because they are full of action and the fact that there is things that could never happen in real life like what wicked puts the gladers through in The Maze Runner by James Dashner My favorite Si-fy book is The Maze Runner. The Maze Runner takes place in the future and things that happen to them could never happen in real life like being in a maze with no memory of what happened before you were put in there. If anything in a book can't happen in real life I will read as long as it does no have romance in it.

What type of books do you like best? Do you like realistic fiction, mystery, science fiction, romance, adventure, futuristic/alternative society, humor, horror, nonfiction, or some other genre? Explain what makes a genre your favorite. Tell about a book within that genre and how it affected your choice. How does that book fit within the genre? Please give specific examples and details.
One of my FAVORITE GENRES are fiction novels because the author can make up anything there mind can dream of. Two of my favorite fiction books are Drama and Smile both by the same author Raina Telgemeier.
The thing I like most about fiction books is that most of the time they are funny and they are fun to read.

My favorite genre is Realistic fiction it's my favorite genre because it's about things that's true and can really happen in life. Normally I read the ones about people that have special problems just because it makes me feel the way they feel. I always think about how they feel and what they would be like with no friends or whatever they do like just staying home all day. It makes me feel like I'm inside of the book with the characters making them the way they are. And making me feel like I'm the person that has the person that has the problem.

My favorite genre is realistic fiction. I love reading about stuff that could happen, but didn't happen. Some books I've read that are realistic fiction are: Rescue Josh McGuire, The 39 Clues Series, Out Of My Mind, Storm Warning Dogs Of The Drowned City, and some more I can't remember.
One of my favorite books I've ever read was Out of My Mind. It's about a girl who is paralyzed and can't talk. It's about her journey through life. It's realistic fiction but it could really happen. There could be a girl out there who has the same problems as Melody. That was one of the books that made me love realistic fiction.

Explain what makes a genre your favorite. Tell about a book within that genre and how it affected your choice. How does that book fit within the genre? Please give specific examples and details.
The type of genre I like the best is mystery. I like mystery the best because it always leaves you wondering what is going to happen next and because of the suspense. The main reason I like mystery is because of how the author always makes you want to read more and more. Every time I start to read a book and it is a mystery I can not stop reading it. The book The Westing Game, by Ellen Raskin effected my choice a lot because it has so much mystery. Well the book is about a group of people who are all partnered up. Each set of partners have clues that they have to try to figure out what they mean. The clues are to help them figure out who murdered Sam Westing and help them win the Westing Game. To me this book has great mystery and every time I turn to the next page I always wonder what is going to happen next. Who is the murder? Is Sam Westing really dead? Is Sam Westing a fake? Those were the questions going through my mind.
Well, the book effected my choose because every time I get to the end of a chapter I can not wait any longer I just want to read more and more. I think what makes the book have so much mystery is the great details and how the author makes you wonder what is going to happen next. Like in one part of the book it says "Mrs.Westing is the answer, and whoever she is, she is the one we have to protect." That part just left me wondering, what will happen next.
The Westing Game also effected my choose because of the setting it is in. The Westing Game takes place in a hotel or a group apartments. The reason the setting effects my choice is because there are always clues around the apartment that help the partners try to figure out who the murder is. I think that having the setting in a group of apartments with clues that help the partners try to find the murder makes the book very mysterious.
Mystery is my favorite genre. It is my favorite mainly because of all the suspense and because of how the author makes you want to read more and more. The book The Westing Game is a great example of mystery. It has so much suspense and a great setting that makes the book even more mysterious. I do love mystery for so many reasons.

Hello today I will be talking about my favorite genre. My favorite genre is action fantasy because I like action packed books with a little bit of fantasy in it. My favorite action and fantasy story is the Harry Potter series by J.k. Rowling. In this amazing book there is a lot of action. The whole story is fantasy. Keep reading bellow to find out more! In the Harry Potter series there is a lot of action. When Harry was facing a troll the scene was very action packed. It gave a lot of good and great words to explain what was going on. The book has a lot of parts where your mom will have to tell you to put the book down and play video games. That is how action packed Harry Potter is! Harry Potter is also fantasy because it involves magic. Although it's not real it makes the whole series interesting. I would give you an example about a fantasy part but I would be telling you the whole book. This book is the best action and fantasy book I have ever read! The reason I chose Harry Potter for an example is because I have read the whole series. If the books weren't action packed the I would have only read the first one. Although this series is action and fantasy all the way until the end. I hope you enjoyed reading about my favorite genre.

My favorite genre is probably realistic fiction. I feel like I can relate to that more than I can anything else. Like if your reading about about this demon that is using his flying powers to capture all the people you cant relate to that. Last time I checked your not a demon that flies, well maybe in your imagination. If your reading a book about this girl who goes to a new school so she is really scared them maybe you can relate to it a little bit better. The book rules its a girl who lives with her brother and her mom. Well her little brother has to go to a special doctor. At the doctor she meets this boy who cant walk. See that's not as bad you can relate to it more. I'm sure you know someone that has some kind of medical condition. That's what makes it realistic fiction because it could really happen. Maybe not the same exact way but it could happen. The book rules effected my choice because I loved that book and I could really relate to it because someone I know has a Chronic illness It doesn't stop him though he still can do everything I can. I know its a different illness and everything but I still know someone with an illness. Also the boy she meet couldn't talk and I know someone who had a stroke and can't talk. So that's why i picked the book rules. I also love this it is a great example it really fit what I wanted to say.
