This post is from The Reading Workshop. My book The Juvie Three by Gordon Korman has a main character named Gecko. I could possibly be the main character. Gecko has been in jail for driving a car when he was 13! I haven't been in jail before and I haven't thought of driving a car. Gecko has stolen things from stores and he robbed a bank. I would never rob a bank or steal from a store. I don't want to end up in jail! So I don't think I'm like my main character. Gecko misbehaves so much and he has also broken into a home! I would never do something that immature.
Gecko and I don't like school. I like to learn it's just it makes me tired sometimes. The teachers I have sometimes make things boring. Like making us read to each other. Sometimes it makes me uncomfortable reading in front of people. Gecko doesn't like school because he gets bullied and is forced to steal and rob. He listens to them because they threaten to beat him up. He misses school a lot because he is scared. The group that threatens him has killed many people who don't do what they say. He hasn't been to school in over a month. Gecko is so afraid to stand up to them. He has tried to get his own little group together so he could get rid of them. It didn't work because they scare everybody at school.
The only way I could be my main character is if I steal, rob, or break an entering. Which I'm not doing anything of the sort. I will never go to jail. That is that. I can only think of one thing that makes me think that I could be him. We both don't stop until we have reached our goal. Gecko is trying to get out of the disaster that is his life! I'm trying to get good grades and get into a good college. I want to succeed in life and so does Gecko. He wants to get out of trouble and go back to school and finish high school. He wants get into a decent college and get a good job like I do. That is the only thing that could make me be Gecko.

My book is called Hoot. My main character is Roy. Roy is a boy about my age, maybe a little older. He just moved to Florida from Montana. He gets into dangerous things. He sometimes does stupid things. There is a bully on the bus that chokes him and smashes his face against the window. He makes friends with a girl bully named Beatrice and her step brother, the running boy, who has run away from military school.
I'm not like my main character because I would not have run after the running boy like Roy did. When he saw a barefoot boy running while he was getting beat up on the bus, he got off of the bus and chased after the boy. I would not get off of the bus until I got to school. I have never moved, so I have never been the new kid at school like Roy is. I also would not run into the woods because there could be glass on the ground. I wouldn't go look for a person that has a lot of poisonous snakes. I also wouldn't look for a bully. His name was Dana Matherson. He is mean!
There are some ways I could be like the main character. He is a boy. He is about my age. He rides a bike. When Roy finds the running boy, he tries to help him. I try to help when I can. Roy is an only child and so am I.
I think I'm mostly not like the character. He reacts differently than I would. Even though we are not the same, I like to read about Roy.

The name of this book is Timescape.
This book is written by Robert Liparulo and, the main character in my book is Toria.
I could possibly be the main character in my book. Toria is very small like me, witch means that we both have people grab things for us, the reason why I am so short is because I have thyroid problems witch makes it very hard for me to grow. Non like Toria she is just very little. Also, Toria and I both have brothers but the thing is that my brother is the youngest, and she has two brothers that are older than her. The oldest is Xander. We both have things in common, such as I sprang my ankle in cheer and how I sprang my ankle is that I was ready to do my round off back handspring and when I landed I twisted my ankle really bad. The way Toria sprang her ankle is that she was sleeping and then something grabbed her ankle and twisted it, then Xander and David tried pulling her up and her ankle had twisted very bad like mine.
I could not be like Toria because her dad had got put in jail because his house was haunted and he would not come out of the house because he did not want the town knowing that his house was haunted. Therefore, when they moved in they started experiencing problems with the house. Non like mine, my house was built and not sold or rented like Toria's. Also, we couldn't be a like because Toria lives in a haunted house and their father did not tell them about the portals so the kids found out their self. I do not live in a haunted house and if I did I would have had my closed packed for the next day. Also, I have pets and Toria does not, and since there house is haunted that means Toria, David, and Xander can only go in certain rooms the best right now is Toria's room. If they went into the antechamber they would get in very serious trouble. The antechamber is like the vortex it means that it's the most haunted place in the whole entire house. Then the worst part is that Toria, David and their father want to leave the house and pack up, but Xander dose not want to leave until they find their mom.

In my book Flawless, there are four main characters. Spencer, Emily, Hanna, and Aria. I am a combination of all four of them but if I would ever be one I would Spencer Hastings. Spencer is smart, independent, competitive, and emotional.
Spencer Hastings is smart, independent, competitive, and emotional. Her and I are both smart. She has always been gifted and likes to try her hardest. I have been proven gifted ever since first grade. Also, I like to try my hardest in everything. Spencer gets so nervous when she doesn't get an A on a test or when someone does better than her. I'm a little bit like that if I don't get a good score on my test I always get nervous that my parents would be mad or disappointed.
She is independent because she doesn't need anyone to help her succeed. I like to work independent and I try to succeed in my work by doing so. She always tries to impress her family by doing everything by herself. Mostly when she is trying to be better than her sister, Melissa. Her sister would just bring up how good she was at something Spencer is doing and bring the attention to her. It makes Spencer livid. Me and my sister don't do a lot of things alike so we don't really fight about the things we do.
She is also competitive, her sister and her are always in a competition in everything. She always is trying to be better and succeed more. In everything she has to be better. They are constantly fighting over it too. Lately, it has been about Melissa's ex-boyfriend Wren. Spencer had a slip-up and kissed Wren. Which made Melissa so mad. She kicked him out and didn't talk to her sister. Even when her best friend's body was found. She even got her parents to do the same. My sister and I aren't that competitive but we do sometimes get jealous of each other.
Lastly, Spencer is emotional. Spencer may seem like a strong person but deep inside her there is a girl just hanging by a string trying to get up. Sometimes when you always have to be better it can get the best of you. She always stresses over everything. And she doesn't like to fail. I don't like to fail either. Sometimes I get so stressed that its hard to do things. Like work, or concentrate, or do anything. Sometimes you just have to hide everything just to make people not worry about you.
I think that Spencer is who I would be like in the book. I am a lot like her. I am smart, emotional, independent, and a little bit competitive. If you sound any like Spencer you should read Flawless by Sara Shepard. But I recommend you read the first book, Pretty Little Liars before. There is also a television show called Pretty Little Liars, which is my favorite show. I hope you liked it!

My book Criss Cross by Lynne Rae Perkins has one main character. I could be the main character. My main character gets in trouble a lot. I have never gotten in trouble before, but one time in first grade I did. That was the only time. I have never gotten yelled at, but he gets yelled at a lot in school. I have never thought of getting in trouble because I am a very nice person and would never do anything to get in trouble like he does. I would never do anything bad, and I have never thought about it.
Hector (the main character) and I both love school. I don't really like to learn, but I have a lot of fun in school. The one thing that we both don't like speaking for presentations and things like that. One time in science class we did an edible/non-edible cell project. I was really nervous! Hector likes school because he gets to see his friends. I like going to school because it gives me a chance to make some new friends and see my friends. There is only one reason why he doesn't like school. He gets made fun of because he likes to write songs. He doesn't miss school all the time, just when necessary. He wants to get into a great college to learn to be a musician. I don't want to be a musician, but I want to be a nurse. Hector is afraid to say anything to the bullies because he is afraid that he might get hurt verbally and physically. I have never gotten bullied, but I do get made fun of sometimes.
I could be my main character if I was a boy, and in high school. Those are the only ways that I couldn't be the main character. I could be the main character in any other way but those two. Those are the only ways that I could be Hector, but otherwise I think I could be him. |

Please Use Only One Space For New Paragraphs And Use Correct Punctuation And Grammer.
In my book Wolf Storm I couldn't be like Stefan. Stefan is one of the main character in Wolf Storm. He doesn't remind me of me and how I'm react to something I did on ascent. When I read this book it did not sound like I'm like him at all! He overreact when he sees red and cares way to much!
Stefan was doing a scene and he was on a meddle ramp. One of his dogs was at the bottom of it and he slipped on it. The dog got hurt and he went running to one camper. When he got there he started cry but when he ended the crying he went to say sorry to everyone and the dog. They understand that was a ascent but he said it and said it over again. He wouldn't do that scene again.
When I do something on accident I still say sorry and most of the time they understand. Like when my friends and I was claiming my tiny house. It was snowing and it was very slick and one of my friends foot give out for claiming. She slipped and fell down to swished my family's snowman. Also after that the others plus me also slipped. We want inside and said that we was sorry. They understood and let us build a snowman. They did not let us before.
The other example is one time in the book is when two people was locked in a room. The power was out and they went to see what they could eat. So, one of them went in. Stefan was the one that didn't go in and he found the red. He thought it was blood and the other persons blood. The other person-we don't know his/hers name- went missing. That is what they thought to find out she was out shopping when the blackout happened.
Also from my life is when I saw red in my room to find out it was blood. Fake blood in fact so, there I was at night getting ready to go to bed. I went in but went out again I forgot to brush my teeth. After that I went in to my bedroom and turned on my light. Then I saw it and thought someone spited something. I woke up and told my mom and she said that no one was in my room. She went in and my sister said it was blood. But everyone know it wasn't.
Once again my book is Wolf Storm and I couldn't be my main character. The main character is Stefan, the reasons are that he overreacted from accidents and thinks differently from me. Like when he saw red his thinks about blood and I hope that you could understand that I couldn't be my main character in my book.

I am reading Diary of a Wimpy kid The long Haul. Greg and I are so alike. One reason is that because when we go on trips we both are always crowded. Second is that we both as been surprised before. Last is that we both like reading weird books. That is three things that tell why I could be my main character.
First thing is that Greg and I have in common is that we are crowded when we take trips. Greg family like to take a lot of stuff when they go on trips. they just have a mini van. They filled the back of it and they had a boat, and that was filled all the way til it was full. So back in the back was filled(so much that you couldn't see the seat back there) and guess how sat back there Greg did. So he was crowded before.
I was crowded in the car when we go on trips. We have Charger and it only holds 5 seats, so we all have to sit in the back(there are 5 of us in my family.) When we are driving down like to Florida we will leave in the afternoon, so at night my siblings will lay all over me . That is why I was crowded before.
Second thing is that we both been surprised before. Greg has been surprised when Rodrick and him were sitting in the living room and their mom came ind and said pack your bags were going on a road trip. To be honest with you I don't think their dad didn't now about it. That is how Greg was surprised.
I've been surprised before. It was Christmas day and we opened all our presents but one. We started to opened it but there was like 10 boxes we had yo open. I got to the last box and opened it and yelled IT'S AN IPOD IPOD but then I swished my words around it was an ipad. That is how I was surprised before.
Last thing is that we both read weird books. Greg reads these books called Underpants Bandits. They are about these two kids named Brody and Bryce that go back in time and steal famous people's underwear to put in a museum. That is the kinds of books Greg reads.
I read Diary of a Wimpy kid The long Haul. The books are about his life and how is family is nuts. There are 9 books so far. That is the kind of books I like to read for fun.
There were three examples how I could be the main character in Diary of a Wimpy kid The long Haul. One reason is that because when we go on trips we both are always crowded. Second is that we both as been surprised before. Last is that we both like reading weird books. That is three things that tell why I could be my main character.

In my book The Maze Runner. I'm writing about if I could be the main character in the book. But I think I could be the main character in the book.
One reason why I think I could be the main character is because Thomas the main character in the book is because he is strong. One example why is because when he was in the maze Thomas was hanging on vines carrying his friend while getting attacked. Then he escaped the creatures right after that. So that's a example of how he is strong. One example that I'm strong is that when I was in a hard time I went through it. I didn't just break down and go crazy.
Another reason why I think I could be the main character is because Thomas doesn't give up like when he was in the maze he doesn't give up and just let the creatures attack him. It's just like when I play baseball In and we are losing I don't give up I just keep playing the game and try to keep putting points on the bored.

The book I'm reading is Last Shot. Yes, I think I could be the main character in my book. The main character's name is Stevie. I think I could be the main character because he is five feet four inches tall, so am I. He loves basketball and I love basketball. He and his dad do a lot of stuff together. My dad and I do a lot of stuff together like going too sports events, going to the mall and doing stuff around the house.
In the book Stevie got court side seats at a NCAA Final Four game. The Final Four is the last four teams in a division competing for the championship gold. I would love to have seats like that. That's one more reason Stevie and I are alike. We would both love to have court side seats to an NCAA Final Four game!
He is on his school basketball team and so am I. I play for the sixth grade team at Logan Elm. In the book it says that Stevie is pretty good at basketball but he still needs to work at it. I'm the starting center for my team. I'm pretty good but I'm not the best for sure!

Amy got a new horse from Tim.When they got that horse in one of the empty stable's they named it Storm but grandpa and Ty thinking it's a bad idea because Amy and Lou just got the horse but after that grandpa and Ty agreed to Amy and Lou.Amy read the rest of the letter and Tim got that horse because Amy was outgrowing Sun dance.also Amy been thinking that what Ty said he just got hear he didn't belong at Heartland before so he is not part of Heartland.I can be like Amy because I always make lots of an agreement's in my family. I couldn't be like the main character because I don't have a farm of horses the only animals I got is eight chicken's, two dogs, and a turtle, But I wish I had a horse.I don't go into horse show's with a horse, And I don't go any where that has horses in it at all so I don't go any where that's really fun at all.That was just some things that I could be like the main character or not.

The book I'm reading is called One Of Those Hideous Books Where The Mother Dies. The main character in my book is Ruby. If you are wondering who my book is by is by Sonya Sones. Well anyway I really don't thank that I can be my main character even if i tried. The reason I think that is because I'm brave but not as much as her. She goes through a lot her mom dies, her aunt leaves her, and she has to move to Hollywood just to move in with her dad that left her when she was a baby and wanted nothing to do with her or her mom for 15 years.
Anyway my character goes through a lot more than I can handle so I think it's best if I stay who I am I can barley handle that most of the time because my sister's. Oh did I tell you that her dad is Whip Logan who ever that is. So no I can not be my main character I could never handle that.

I could be The main character in my book. I could be him because in the book they go to where the mud dragon tribe is. When clay,The main character in my book, is there he goes to where the dragon nest is and talk's to the women that guards them. He asked who hes mother was and the women that was guarding the eggs said that his mother died trying to save him from getting killed by the sky wings, another type of dragon, After he found out that his mom was dead they headed off to the ocean where in the next book tsunami finds her mom. One of the things that Me and clay have in common is that my mom was taken away from me when I was little. She was doing drugs and she went to jail for it. Oh by the way. The author of the book is Tui T.Sutherland
Another thing me and Clay have in common is that he is special. He has wings that can't be damaged or affected by fire meaning he can block another dragons fire breath with his wings. I can relate to that because I have ADHD. And I am half deaf in my left ear.
I can be like my main character because he try's to help the group stick together like say if Starflight and Tsunami where fighting. Clay would try to stop them from fighting. He try's to make things better and he try's to keep every one safe from harm. Or if a dragon is coming after Tsunami he would back her up and try to help her fight back. I can be like the main character in that way because I try to help people with there homework or I help my little sister by getting her chocolate milk. Those are some of the things on how I can be like my main character

The book I am reading is Legend it is by Marie Lu. In my book the main character is Day. I don't think I could be him because he steals, robs and is homeless also most people think he's dead. He has robbed a bank stole some wine and other things too and he has killed a man. I have never or will never do those things ever. So I don't think I'm like my main character. Day in a bad kid and is always on the look out for the army.
We both love our family though and are always looking out for them. The reason Day steals, robs and kills is for his family. The reason he stole was because he was selling the wine for money so he could get medicine for his little brother who is very sick. The reason he robbed a bank was so he could get money for him to survive also for food and shelter for his family. One day Day was in the streets betting on a skitz fight. There was this girl who was a champion fighter and she was beating up a innocent girl. The girl was losing but she didn't give up and she won the fight. After that Day helped her till she was healed and that's how he met June. That remind me once at a game my friend and I saw a fight on the other team and there was a bully beating up a kid . The kid was little and a little weak but he won the fight against the bully. After that my friend helped them out and I got a teacher.
The way I could be my main character was if I stole, robbed or killed a man. Which is not going to happen. So we're not really alike. The one thing we have in common is that we both love and care for our family. Both of our families mean the world to us and we aren't going to let anyone get to them. That is how I could be like Day and how I could not but mostly not.

In the book you are reading, could you be the main character?
The book I am reading is Ghost In The Machine Ryan's Journal. The character I am doing is Ryan. It is a good book about the Dredge. The Dredge is a building that has ghosts and old and scary things. Ryan broke his leg at the Dredge that is one reason I don't think I could be like Ryan. I only broke my right arm and my lift wrist. Also at Dredge there is a ghost named old Joe Brush. Ryan does things that I can't do. Like he goes to places when his mom tells him not to go there. Here are some places he goes the Dredge, hangs out with Sarah and he is not aloud to. He goes outside really late at night.
If I go out were I am not a loud to I will get grounded by my mom. I can't walk around by my self with a girl my mom would kill me. I would not go to the Dredge because I don't want to get killed when I am 12 years old. I would not go outside at one a clock. It would be dark and you could not see. I have never seen a ghost in my life and I don't want to.
That are some reasons I couldn't be like him. I would get grounded an more if I did that stuff he does.
