I read because books are really interesting. The only time I don't like to read is when I can't relate to it. I always like books that I can relate to. If not it's really boring. When I first learnt to read I would not put a book down. I would read everything I could that had words on it. Reading lets you escape for a little while. It lets you be apart in the book. It's always a better book when you get to be a part in it. Even if I am just reading. Some book just suck me in like a vacuum. Thank you for reading!!! hope you can relate.

To M'Lani R's Post About Why I Read?
I do that, too! When ever I read something really good it feels like the I'm right in the middle of the story. It kind of feels like the main character is your best friend and is telling you the story right after it happens. And when ever I read a book I'm not very interested in, I just lose focus and day just wonder off and day dream. But it's like nothing can stop me with my reading when I'm "in the zone"!

I read when I am board and for entertainment. If someone gave me all the warrior books ever written than no one would hear from me for at least a month. I love reading I read every day whenever and wherever I can. I always have a book with me wherever I go. Reading is and always will be part of my life.

I read for a lot of reasons. I read for information when I need to know or learn something. I read for entertainment. I read to keep up on my favorite sports teams. Really though, I read because I can't not read. It's just something I always do. Whenever I need to know something the first thing I do is get on Google. I don't even think about it, I just get on the computer or my IPhone and do a search. I am constantly checking something, sometimes just to try to win an argument, others just to find out something I don't know. I love to sit and read a good book. I can sit for an hour or more and never move. When I get into a book, the world disappears around me and I join into the world in the book. I become a character and I live his life. I think books are much better than TV because I can picture myself right in the middle of the action. I read newspapers and websites every day. I want to know what is going on with the Cincinnati Reds. I check out the box scores to see who did well the last game. I read about The Ohio State Buckeyes, anxious to find out about new basketball recruits, and to learn about which football player played well last week. I want to hear what Urban Meyer has to say about the team. I read about the Cleveland Browns hoping there might be some good news. Reading is a part of me that I really don't totally understand. I can't just sit. I have to have a book, newspaper, or magazine. If not, I am on the Internet reading about beagles, or horses, or Harleys. No matter where I am, or what I am doing, I always have something to read close by. I read books for entertainment. I read books for drama. I read books for adventure. I read books when I have to or not. I read for everything. Because if I don't know how to read I can't do anything. Because I can't do Math or Social Studies, or Science without it. Because how will I do word problems in Math? Or read text books in Science or Social Studies? Or read atlases in Social Studies? What ever I do, I have to read! I also read to learn. Whenever my brothers and I make a bet we search it on ether Bing or Google. Like once we where in North Carolina and went to this restaurant and saw a bunch of clown fish in tank. Well, we both said at the same time "Nemo!" Then my brother was saying "Don't forget Neoms dad, Marvin!" And I was like "No Guinness, It's Marlin!" And the war began! So, I went on my moms IPhone and checked. Turns out, I was right (Whop Whop)And that's how I read to learn. And I read because I have to. So I can get a good grade. Like today, I was thinking about my homework for Mr. McGuire and how I had to read 180 minutes to get an A. So I was thinking "Yah I have 180 minutes." But then I counted in my assignment book and it said 140 or something like that. And then my mind exploded! My mind was running all over the place. Thinking how much I have to read and I have to do it when I get to school early. And I was just freaking out! After I've read like 40 minutes I log it in to the reading log. Turns out I forgot that I helped Mr. McGuire and I got 60 minutes extra. And I though well I had a good time reading and I get extra credit! And that my friends is why I read! I love you passage on Why Do You Read! You have great supporting details and reasons. My favorite part is your closing topic. And that my friends is why I read! You did so good on this Question Of The Week. Keep It Up Girl! I think its cool and funny how you and yo u brothers had a war. Knowing how your brothers are.

But then I got reminded that I got an hour of read at home so then I hurried up and logged in at read at home. Then at the end I got an A then I felt pretty good after I was done freaking out.

Why do I read you read you ask? I read for a lot of reason. I read for entertainment. But I don't usually read for info I use my iPhone for that. The sad thing is I love reading so munch that on time my mom forgot that I was home and she ended up leaving me identically. Whenever I read it is like a magnet is pulling me in and I just have to keep on reading like my life depends on it. Whenever I read the outside of the book is nothing to me me and I completely zone all of the sound around me away. It feels like I am in the book right in the middle of action or drama. I love whenever you are reading a book and you get to a action point and you are on the edge of your feet. I read for entertainment to and use my iPod for info when I am at the library. My mom has never forgot I w as home while I was reading but she does bug me a lot when I am reading but Bob bugs me more than my mom. Once I read a whole afternoon till 8 pm then my mom had to keep bugging me saying you know what time it is. I kept saying wait till the next chapter. Two chapters later I finally got in the shower. At mt Dads Judy said she was leaving to go somewhere and an hour later, I got done reading and asked my Dad outside and he said that she went somewhere and I did not even hear her.

I read for a lot of reasons. The reason I read a lot is because like if I have a good book and I get so interested in I just cant stop its like a magnet pulling me in. I don't just read for entertainment. I also read for information like a science book of social studies book. Like letters too because you are reading for information from a friend or a family member. Have you ever got a book that was so good you just don't want to stop reading. Well that happens to me a lot. Especially if i'm close to the end it just sucks me right in. I get like that a lot because a lot of books get really good at the end. Cassie I do the same exact thing! When i'm reading a good book it's like your the dirt in the carpet and the vacuum is sucking you up. It's like you can't quit reading. Reading is addicting. Books are like a trip to paradise it gets you mind off things. When i'm having a bad day I just go to my room and read a book. Cassie maybe you should try that. When your having a bad day go to your room and if you like to read where it's really quiet turn everything off and read. Or if your one of those people like me that can't read in silence turn on some relaxing music or even a fan. If you have like a computer or an IPod or and IPhone just download an app that has rain sounds or thunder. Good job on your posts nice and detailed! Keep up the good work!!!!

Why do I read,is well pretty much cause I have to, I just don't like reading. I guess I do read some stuff online but not a lot. I just never have liked reading and I never am. I pick the books that I like and I read them but I just plane and simple hate reading. So the answer to the question would be because I got to. I've had teachers before that were always like everybody likes reading you just got to find the right book, but no!!!!!! That is not it I just hate the whole point of reading. That would be why I read

I read for all sorts of reasons. Like when I need help to get something right, for information like when I need to know who won and lost that night and I just read for fun. Like when I get a book to read that looks like a great book I can't wait to get to read it.
I like to read for information like in the morning I turn on the TV and watch Sports Center until I need to leave. Also when one of my teachers hands out some paper I read it to make sure I know what to do. Another reason is when something happened in the world and I want to know about it I will read about it in the newspaper or on TV.
I read to get something right. If I'm working on a paper or writing something and I don't know something I look it up. Like if I don't know how to spell a word, don't know what happen after something or need to know what I'm writing about I look it up on the Internet or look in dictionary. One other reason I read is if I'm putting something together and it's really difficult I would read the directions.
I read just for fun. Sometimes I just like to sit down and read a book for an hour or two. When it's a great book I feel like I'm in the book. Another reason I read for fun is when I look something up about like Ohio State or the Reds and I just sit there fascinated in what happened in their years being a team/school.

I read for entertainment. Reading helps me relax. I can't just sit and not have a book in my hands. I'm always reading things. I read on the bus in the car everywhere. If it's not a good book I abandon the book I don't waist my time on it. If I can't relate the character to me between the first two chapters normally that's not the book for me. Good books you can put your self as the character. I can sit and read a book for an hour or more if it's the kind of book that you can put you self as the character.
I'm always checking things on the internet and researching words I don't know the meaning to. If my parents or someone tells me a fraise that I don't know what it means I get on Google and look it up. I'm always looking up places to visit and reading about them. I'm also always looking up things that could happen to my Mom when she is going through Chemo. Reading is really enjoying. I love to read. I read all kinds of things to scary stuff to funny stuff.
Reading is amazing!
I read for entertainment a lot, too. It doesn't really help me relax but I still agree a lot with this. I have to have some kind of relation with the character or I just don't like the book and I just don't fit in with that book. I can definitely pout myself as the character if I like the book. I feel like it's my long lost best friend that I haven't talked to in years.
