This week's assignment is to describe the main character of a book and tell how he/she is like you.
Hatchet by Gary Paulsen is one of my favorite books. The main character is thirteen year old Brian Robeson. He is stranded in the wilderness with no help. He faces many obstacles, with one of the biggest being facing the fear inside himself.
Until this summer I never thought that I had that much in common with Brian. When we were in Michigan's Upper Peninsula with our beagles, I had an unfortunate event that quickly gave me a lot of understanding for what Brian faced. Our beagles were running in the swamp when wolves attacked and killed eight of them. Several were close to the truck and I found them with their tracking collars in a few minutes.
Two of the beagles were about 450 yards deep in the swamp. As I was tracking one dog, a huge, dark, gray wolf came within 40 yards of me. I didn't have a gun and was defenseless against this blood-thirsy wolf right in the middle of his killing spree. I screamed at him and luckily he took off through the swamp. My heart was beating so hard it felt like it would jump out of my chest. I have never felt fear so much as facing this wolf right in the middle of his massacre.
There is a scene in Hatchet where Brian is faced with a bear attack. I thought I could understand his feelings when I first read the book. Now, I really know what it is like to face a wild animal with no means of defense. I realize now how lonely and scared Brian must have been at that moment when he knew his life was in jeopardy.

Well the book I am reading is Winnie The Horse Gentler by Dandi Danley Mackell. The main character in the book is Winnie. She is like me because she loves horses and she always looks out for her friends. She always try's to get things done as soon as possible and she always is worried about something. Winnie's dad is always working on inventions and my dad is always working on a tractor in the shop that is kinda similar. She lives in Ohio and on a farm. Winnie has unique friends and she is always doing something. Winnie cares about her family and friends and always wants the best for them. I am not that much alike with the main character in my book. But that is some ways I am alike with the main character in my book. Hope you enjoyed reading my post.

The main character in my book Jefferson's Sons is Maddie. Its a girl that is fourteen she lives in a foster home with Miss.Martha and master Jefferson. Maddie might be a foster child but she's always doing stuff like I do. The reason we have similarities is she's a girl that has brownish almost black hair, her eyes are a dark green, she's really tall, and she loves to write. She's always wanting Miss.Martha to go out and get her some paper to write. Which like me I'm always wanting my mom or my dad to get me some paper so I can start to write. I'm always wondering what Maddie's life would be like to be a foster child. But then over the past year my uncle adopted a child from the foster care. Her name is Maci I go to my uncle's house all the time so I can see her. She's really smart she's taught me alot about how her life has changed ever since she has moved in with my uncle and his wife. I think that now since I met Maci I understand what Maddie would be thinking half the time or doing. I think that every time I hear Maddie talk I'm always thinking wow I can't believe she's a foster child. She acts like Miss.Martha and Jefferson is her real family she calls them mom and dad just like I call my mom and dad.

Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo is by far one of my favorite books! It's about a girl named Opal. She lives with her dad because her mother left her when she was a kid. She finds a dog at the Winn-Dixie Supermarket and names him Winn-Dixie. She has many adventures with him and they have a very close friendship. I didn't think I would ever be like Opal, she lost her mom and I have my mom. Her dad's a preacher and my dad's a fifth grade math teacher. But last summer I found something in common. We both found good friends. Last summer I came in from outside and my mom called me to the dinning room. She said one of her friends had found a stray cat at her house at Buckeye Lake. And she says she (the cat) needs to find a home because at the lake many homeless people sell them to Pitt-Bull trainers (Pitt-Bull trainers are people who buy cats and use them to train to fight dogs which would kill the cat). So my mom called her friend and said that we would take them and take care of them. As soon as we got them they were super skinny and scared so I game them food and water. Then after a few weeks they were really sweet and soft. And now I love my cat Jessie and she loves me, too! There is a part in Because of Winn-Dixie when she finds the dog and gives him a bath and brushes him out. She finds out that the dog has many blotches of bold spots on him. She feels bad for the dog but that's what makes him special. Then they start became best friends!

My favorite character would have to be Dan, in the 39 clues books! He is a young kid my age and is adventurous. He and his sister, Amy are on the search for 39 clues, with deadly opponents. He is an almost expert at math, puzzles, and has really good memory. Dan and Amy are orphans, and their new au pair is helping them on their journey, because they can't do it alone! Soon, they find out their parents were murdered, so they now want justice on their parents murderer. Another thing about Amy and Dan is, they don't know what branch their in! Their is Tomas (strong but not bright), Ekat, (smart inventors), Janus (artistic people), and last but not least, the Lucians (deadly leaders). Which branch are they in? Dan and Amy are in the lead with the clues, but for how long? With deadly opponents and teams, and can trust NO ONE, how can they win? Will they win? Will they become the most powerful people in the world? I don't know, but if you read the books, you will find how they MIGHT accomplish the clues and change the world. read the 39 clues, which start out with the will of their dead grandmother.

The main character from my book is like me because she is crazy. Always getting into trouble. Talking back. Having attitude. Yelling at her little brother. Well Amamda has a little brother like me that she is always yelling at. The only thing that we don't have in conman is that my parents are not together like hers. Amanda is always driving her mom crazy to go to friends house or have someone stay with her. That is what i'm always doing. I'm always bugging my mom if someone can stay the night with me. We also both have a really big mouth! Amanda and I both are not a girly girl! But we still both like to go out and have fun with our friends. Amanda and I are not exactly the same but we don't have all things in conman.

The book that I am reading is Dog Tags. The main character is Alexander London. I can relate to him because he has someone that is very special to him and I also have someone that is very special to me too.He is fighting in a war me and my special person is fighting in the war of life together. In the book his special person (his friend) gets shot so the main character grabs a hold of his friend and runs and ducks through a big shorting to get his friend in safety. I can relate to that because my special person is my sister and we are in the war of life together and she gets hurt falls trip sometimes she even has seizures and she would ever get hurt like say she is swimming and she has one she would drown but I would go out and risk my life for her. I can also relate to him because in the second book he has someone that cherish him and loves him i do too which is my sister and mom. But him and my mom is. Well that person that loves and cherish him and him got a fight. I can relate to him about that is the person that loves and cherish me and her always gets into fights. But we fight through it. I can also relate to the main character because I have a good dog that is really important to me. Cheers me up when I am really sad.

The book i am reading is I survived . The main character is a 11 year old kid named Tomas. Me and hem are a like because we are both boys,we have chores ,but he lives on a farm and he is a slave and so the chores are harder but he lives in the 1800 ,s which would be complicated and hard he had to get up early and do chores I don't and that is how we are a like and not a like.

The book I'm reading is The Scorch Trails by James Dashner. The main character is Thomas. We are alike because we are around the same age. He get scared and wants to leave the bad place. I would want to leave a bad place if I was in it so. He also is like me because he wants to get to the end but he is also trying to help other people to he isn't just doing it for him and if I was in a situation like that I wouldn't just leave everyone behind and go for my self I would try to help the other people. That is exactly what Thomas is trying to do.

In the book Game Changer the main character is KT Sutton. KT Sutton and I are alike because....... We both play Softball and have the same attitude.
KT Sutton plays Softball like I do. Well she got hurt really bad where she couldn't play any more. KT Sutton was so mad so upset that she couldn't concentrate when she was in the hospital, because she knew she wouldn't be able to play Softball. I would be so worried to if I couldn't play. Softball is my life basically, because I play 24-seven. I always practice have games like on the back of my Softball shirt it says "there's no place like home" you know like home plate.
Well later KT Sutton is having a hard time not playing. Being so hurt can't concentrate I wouldn't be happy if I got hurt and had to miss a year of Softball.
Later on KT Sutton starts having the best attitude around I would do the exact same. Just keep a good attitude and go with the flow.

My book is Finding Danny. The author of Finding Danny is Linzi Glass. The main character in Finding Danny is Bree. Bree is like me because if I lose something I will go find whatever I lost.Another thing we have in common is that we both love dogs. I like dogs because they comfort. I like dogs but I hate myself for being allergic to them .
