:DNext year I will be going to McDowell. My thoughts are that I think McDowell will be a fun place to learn at. It is a big school and has lots of room to move around. The cafeteria is huge and it has two lunch lines, we only have one lunch line. The gymnasium is two times larger than the one here at Salt Creek Intermediate School. :DTHINGS I LIKE ABOUT MCDOWELL I like that you don't have to go up and down stair cases with your things in your hands. I also like the fact that we have lockers to put our stuff inside. It is also cool that we have three minutes to do what ever we want before the next class starts. We also get to sit where ever we want to at lunch and the lunch is way faster than over here. :(THINGS I DON"T LIKE ABOUT GOING TO MCDOWELL I don't like the fact that the classes are with different people and different teachers. And also that we don't have much to talk to our friends. We only have three minutes to talk about our classes. We only have about twenty minutes to eat our lunches. We don't have calculators next year. We had calculators this year and it was very easy to use just type up a few numbers and then you get the numbers. I think we get our supplies list at open house I think that's in August or July around there. I hope the teachers at McDowell don't give out a lot of homework and I hope they are nice. I wish Mr.McGuire would quit loving sixth grade so much and teach seventh grade for a change.

Hello, today I will be talking about what school I will be going to and how nice the teachers seem to be. I think they are nice but you cant judge a book by it's cover. So when we walked in the first thing I see is colors, paintings, people, and a really big room. Then, we walked in to the choir room and we talked about how you should not be nervous because all the teachers would help you find all your class and make sure you won't be late for class. So that made me fell me a lot better but that I'm still nervous. So then we met the teachers and then I was like wow this middle school won't be as bad as I think it will because all of my friends said you won't make it in middle school because you a person who goofs around and you always getting in trouble. But, after vising the school I think I will be ready for the whole middle school experience. Well that's all I have to say for this blog post have any of you guys be to middle school? If so please tell me how to get through this middle school please tell me! So hope you guys enjoyed this blog post and I will see you guys in the next blog post. Luke, I think you'll do great at McDowell!! Your really nice and helpful if you keep it up all the teachers will love you!! But I think next year will be a good change just not for you but for everyone. So that way if you do goof around and get in trouble you won't do it as much because you won't be in the same class with all you friends.

I can't wait till I go to McDowell. One thing I will not like at McDowell is that you have to read your reading level. I don't know why you have to read you reading level. This year I've been able to read any books I want. So I hope I get a high reading level so I can read any book I want. One thing I will like is band and choir. I like to sing and I like to play the drums. I think I'll have fun next year. Another thing i wont like is if I don't get my friends in my classes. I thing i will have fun next year with my likes and dislikes. I don't like that we have to read our certain level either. I wan't to read what I want to read.I hope I also get a high score on the A.R. point test thingy. I also hope I get friends in my classes.Well anyways I agree with what you said. Good post bro.

What are Your Thoughts about going to Jr. High? What are Your Thoughts about going to Jr. High? My thoughts are that I'm excited, and ready. I think it's going to be a challenge though. I need to keep my grades up so I could play sports and to get a good scholarship in softball. And if I don't get good grades my mom says I have to QUIT sports. That means no school softball, travel softball, and Volleyball. McDowell is a lot bigger than Salt Creek. I'm afraid that I'm going to be late to class the first couple of weeks because I need to go to my locker than go all the way down to class and we only get 3 mins. And if we're late we have detention. I don't want detention. I can't wait to go to McDowell. It's going to be fun and I need to face the challenge and have a great year. Lexi you went from talking about middle school being a challenge and then went to keeping your grades grades up to play sports all in one paragraph. Stick to what your topic is about then add a new paragraph and talk about other things.

I think that McDowell will be fun but it might also be hard because I think I'm going to get lost a lot. It looks so confusing the only place I really remember is the cafeteria. That's not going to get me very far. I also feel like my locker will be the one farthest away from all of my classes. The reason I think McDowell will be fun is we will finally be responsible enough to get to our own class and to get our self to lunch and get our self to the bus. We wont have a teacher right there beside us telling us when and where to go. Of course sometimes that could be bad. With all of the work the teachers talked about it could be really hard but easy at the same time. It seems like it will be harder than sixth grade but not like so hard that I wont be able to do it. I think if a really try my hardest 7th grade will wont be as hard as it seemed. For my elective I took choir because all my friends took it but I'm also thinking about track too. Now I think I'm really going to like choir because I like to sing just not when people are around. With track I don't know if I want to do it because I never really liked sports but I might now. I feel like next year will be a good year if I just try to work my hardest and get to my classes on time. If its not a good year at the beginning well I guess I will have to try harder. But I'm sure I will have an amazing year not just good but amazing. Even though I wont be here next year I would still love to come to at least one of your choir concerts and hear you sing! I'm so happy to hear that you are most likely going to do track you'll do great. I think next year your going to do great! Just keep heading to your goal of success and keep up the good work!

I wish they would give us more time to get from our locker to class. I feel like I'm going to have a locker really far away from my classes. Then I would have to hurry and when I'm hurrying I will probably forget the most important thing I need.

My thoughts about McDowell??? It do not got that much thoughts about McDowell. But I bet I like Elementary school better because I have heard people say that they do. It also seems like it is gonna be a lot harder!!! So yeah not excited for it at all...But it is just a part of life that you gotta get over with. A good part about it is we have six classes so your day will probably feel shorter. Hopefully it is not that bad and hopefully we all survive it just kidding!!! So yeah not to many thoughts just hope it is not as bad as I expect it to be. So yeah I guess I just got to make the best of it!!! Do not goes together into don't. Got is have because you don't got's something you have something.

I agree 100% I have never been to McDowell until our trip last week. I think that I will get lost...A LOT! I am still soooooooooo confused I mean, I am scared and exited too, (I wont like the HW though... \>.</) And I KNOW I will like art and choir and L.A. ! =)~

My thoughts are "excited, and nervous". I'm excited about the sports and activities but I am also nervous because I don't now exactly how junior high is going to be.
But, I think I will do OK though because I'm used to going to different schools and how to fit in. One thing I'm worried about is if I will be able to see my friends. But, one thing I'm mad about is we won't have recess at junior high. So, if we don't have recess I won't be able to see my friends, and hang out with them.
But another thing that really bother's me is if I have a hard time keeping my grades up in 6th grade I'm really gonna have a hard time keeping my grades up in 7th grade. But, if I can try my hardest and do my best I can make it at junior high. And I really think junior high will be great!

My thoughts about McDowell are that I think that we are all gonna have fun and keep out of trouble while keeping our grades up. I personally think that McDowell will be a good place to learn from the teachers, not that theirs anything wrong with Salt Creek. Another one is that we will have a lot of fun in P.E. instead of recess. Another is that I'm will be doing Guided Studies I hope that won't be to bad. I also think that the sports will be good the sports i'll be doing are Football,Soccer and possibly Baseball.
I think we'll all have a fun and good time getting to know our new teachers next year. Especially moving from 6th grade to the 7th grade. I think if I'm right we will have 6 classes and 12 teachers. I think everybody will do a good job at McDowell and stay out of trouble and keep their grades up so. I also think we will show respect for McDowell.
I think were all sorta nervous because were going to a new school and we are gonna be the youngest class their. Having all the older kids their and you don't know if their nice or mean. We wanna try and stay out of trouble and not get in fights so we wanna stay away from trouble makers.

I'm excited for McDowell! I like a lot of the teachers and everyone else seems nice too. The school seemed a little bit confusing to get around though. And the change in the way we have classes will be a little hard to get used to. But I'm excited to be a part of McDowell!
My favorite teachers were Mrs. Griffy and the art teacher. I liked Mrs. Griffy because she seems kind of funny. I thought it was funny when she showed us what she would be teaching next year because when she got to ancient Rome she wrote something beside it and it said, "when Mr. McGuire was born." I knew I would like like Mrs. Griffy!
I liked the art teacher because she seemed really funny and crazy! She talked really fast too. I can't wait to have her as my teacher! I know she will make art class a lot of fun. I like when teachers are outgoing and funny like that!
It will be hard to get used to the change we have in classes. It will be really weird not to have the same people in my class everywhere I go. I'm kind of excited that it will be like that though because I will get to see more people during the day that I might not see a lot now. And I might get a chance to have a class with most of my friends too!
I'm really excited for McDowell and I know I'll have a great year!

Our trip to McDowell was very fun and very informative. It helped me realize how the teachers will act and the perks about the classes. I really hope I get Mrs. Griffy and Mrs. Ross. Mrs. Griffy is super nice and I love her class room. I would like Mrs. Ross because she has some really cool experiments and I have heard stories about the other science teacher. (They are not nice stories.....)
I am very exited about next year. I can't wait until next year. I am really hoping this year will be over so I can start 7th grade. Which I really shouldn't wish for because before I know it, the summer will be over and I will be getting school supplies. It is a very rare site to see me ready for school, AND WANT SCHOOL!!!! I like school, but I do wish we didn't have to go to it.
McDowell is kind of scary to think about. I am just nervous that I will forget my combination number and be late to class and get an "F" in that class. I really am nervous I will the year was here and at the same time I wish it won't come. I am just scared the teachers won't think I am good enough to be in their class.
That's what I think about McDowell!!!

I am psyched for McDowell. I just think its confusing. But once I get around through the school,I don't think it will be as confusing. I think it's going to be fun when I'm in band. The Jr.High middle school band is a lot more different than Salt Creek band. Especially since the drums are a lot thicker.
I think that social studies is going to be the best class. We get to talk about the middle ages, the Greeks, and the Romans. There is a lot more but those are the best. My favorite subject will be the Greeks or the Romans. They are both very interesting.
We also get to play any sport we want. But we can only play one sport at McDowell per season. You have to try out for most of the teams.I'm trying out for baseball in the spring and I think I can make it.

There is so much to think about going to middle school, especially now that I found out I'm moving again. I'm going to have to make new friends and meet new teachers. Even though I'm going to a whole different school district, it really isn't all that different than going to McDowell. Everyone else will be in a new school, new teachers, new people to meet. Everyone will be getting lockers, changing and picking classes. It will be the same, well almost the same. Even though I won't be at McDowell, my thoughts on school will still be changing a lot. In this post I am going to write about my view on middle school and the big changes that I believe almost all kids here at Salt Creek will be going through. I hope that you enjoy! There are so many things to say about middle school. I think that the first thing that I think about when I think about middle school would be how big that I really am getting. I feel like as a seventh grader, I will really be able to off my creativity and talents in middle school. I believe that as I get older, I will be able to do more and have more responsibility than I ever did before. I believe that I can do great if I keep on track and realize what I have to do. The second thing I think about is how exciting it will be. I will be able to have my own locker. I can choose some of the things I want to do. I can even go out to the bus or car. I won't have to go to the gym and wait for my mom to come driving up and wave a card saying that I'm her child. I won't have to get in a line at the end of the day that the teachers walk out to the bus. I can just go out the closest door and find my mom. That will be nice. I am really sad to see Salt Creek go. I will miss all of my sixth grade friends and teachers a lot. I can see lots of big changes happening in the future. I think that everyone else's experience will be similar to mine. I hope that I and everyone else will enjoy seventh grade and going to middle school! Have a great day. Thanks for reading!

McDowell was okay but I do not want to go because it is to big and it will take me forever to get to my class and if you are late then you will get three lunch detentions. So I am just worried about being late and i do not want detention other than that i like most of McDowell and the thing that is new is that we will all have lockers and we will not have to carry around tubs like most of all the intermediate schools do.
Our whole school still has to carry tubs and the teachers at McDowell the one that i think is the best is Mrs. Ross. The reason I like her is because my bus driver is Mrs. Ross's mom so Mrs. Ross knows me a lot. The thing that is going to change is recess and every one likes recess that is another thing that i am going to hate about middle school.
There is another thing about McDowell we will have air conditioner at McDowell and we do not have it at Salt Creek and everyone will have to get used to cold instead of it being hot. McDowell is going to be a good place to go to and i think that i will like it.
