Social Media, with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram it could build or break you like Calipari said "You build your brand or you break it down". I agree with his comment that you are "building your brand". Whether it's Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. It will affect anyone who's on it. I mean there are some people like Lebron James that has a million followers on social media. Then he could tear down his brand with one bad thing that he post or says. Another example would be Richie Incognito. He's in the NFL and he was under a scandal. Then he put some mean things on twitter that completely destroy his brand. This is one of the thing that stuck out when I was reading what John Calipari said "We’re trying to tell those kids, hey, you build your brand or you break your brand down.” I think everybody should know that anything from posting what you think is a funny joke but others might think is rude. It's not just building or breaking your brand now but later on in life when your applying for a job. You don't get it because of something you posted when you were 10. I think John Calipari is right “You cannot be defined, if you are on social media, by somebody else. You will define yourself. And if it’s negative, that’s your fault.” Also “I’m not going to hold my team back from the Twitter or Facebook, but I’m going to teach them how to use it for a positive.” Your not going to be defined by some person but can be defined by whether you let it go or say something back. So over all I think Calipari is right you Can build or break your brand.

In my opinion I don't really favor social media. Its okay most of the time, there are lots of cool things on there. They can be funny, nice, sad, happy, exciting. But on some occasions people are not all that nice on there. I like to get on and chat with friends, to get there opinion. Its nice to have it sometimes.Like if you needed to contact someone. But sometimes there can be really rude stuff on there. How does social media affect my life? It is effective when I don't get on. People are always on and talking. I as most other people always like to know what everyone is talking about. And yes I don't like when I don't get what people are talking about. I just try to avoid all the bad things that people do on there and focus on the positives. How are you "building your brand? I don't like to get caught in the bad stuff so if I see something that I didn't like I would just ignore it. I would look at the nice thing and not even bother to look at the negative stuff. I just post good things. I really don't mind all the negative, it doesn't bother me, if I don't even acknowledge it. Thank you for reading. Hope you enjoyed. Leave me comment telling me what your opinion is. I would love to hear. Bye! This post is great ! I really see Brylee written all over this post! It's just so...... YOU! You don't really get on social media, and you definitely don't like drama! I love it!!!!! -Your Best Friend ( ) Abby McDonald

I agree with Calipari people speed to much time on Facebook and twitter and snap chat “We’re trying to tell those kids, hey, you build your brand or you break your brand down,” Calipari said. Instagram. It can effect your life and your job.
“Twitter is an opportunity — Facebook is an opportunity — to say what you feel, to try to pick people up, to try to be positive, to try to add something to society, to try to let people see you transparently,” Calipari said. “You cannot be defined, if you are on social media, by somebody else. You will define yourself. And if it’s negative, that’s your fault.”

I agree with what the coach was saying. I agree because like the coach said he doesn't want to see all the nagetive stuff on Twitter or Facebook. People have a choice to put something negative on there. The coach said that he doesn't mind his "boys" having Social Media but he wants to teach them that there is gonna be negative things said. It affects it because of all the negative stuff said. Say your a basketball player like them and you had a not so good game that night and you logged into Facebook or Twitter and you saw someone say oh this person shouldn't be playing there not that good of a player that would affect you in some way. You may of had the best game of the whole year but you messed a play up and someone said yeah you know that person that's playing for Ohio State he souldn't be playing for them he/she isn't that good of a basketball player. That would have to affect you in someway because I know it would affect me. I wouldn't want to log back on to any Social Media stuff if I saw someone say something disrespectful about me.

Do you agree or disagree? How does social media affect your life? How are you "building your brand?" I agree.Social media affects my life a WHOLE lot. If I didn't have social media I wouldn't be able to be kept up to date on all of the latest stuff. It doesn't just affect my life, it affects every one's life. It also helps you learn a little bit more. It's a great place to learn and read about a whole lot of different things. Here is an example of some social media sites: Edublogs, Instagram, and Facebook. But I still think you shouldn't put all of your information out there. Because if you do, bad things might happen. So you shouldn't do anything stupid and end up getting your house broke into or getting stalked by some creep. So, be smart and keep all your information secret. You shouldn't do things that you might regret. Because what you do today may effect in what kind of college you'll be in.

Out of My Mind by Sharon M Draper is a book I recommend for all girl sixth graders. Boys could read it too, but it would be kind of weird. My friend Megan, recommended this book to me right before we went into Christmas brake. It is a book about an 11 year old girl named Melody who can't walk, talk, speak, or control what she does. She's the smartest person in her class but no one knows it. It drives her crazy! Day and night she wishes she could speak.
It is a wonderful book about a girl and her struggles through life. Nobody thinks she's capable of learning. But soon, they find out there thoughts were wrong. Because she proves to everybody that she's more than what you think. When you read this book, you can really get engaged in it. It's the best book for girls 11 and up. I recommend this book 100%!! It's a little emotional and in some parts will have you saying " Oh my gosh, this can't happen", and " Oh no!". This is one of those books you won't want to put down.
So, I think YOU should give this book a try. Because, you never now if you hate a book if you've never read it. I've stopped a lot of books, but this one, I couldn't. So read it today, you'll be glad you did.

In this assignment I will be talking about social media and my opinion on social media.
I agree with John Calipari. He's right about social media you can talk to people, and like the coach said he can talk to his players. It makes it nice because he can share what happen the night they played and say how the team won or lost. The bad thing with social media is someone can post a bad picture and one of the players can be friend with that kid who posted it.
Social media has effected my life because my I-pod will go off and I getting ready to go outside and I have to see what it is and will hold me back. It makes it hard because sometimes I won't even go outside because I have to see it. That has happen a lot. I don't get on that much, but when it goes off I have to look.
I am building my brand by writing more everyday. It gets easier everyday. At the beginning of the year I couldn't write as fast as I am now. I know were the keys are and I've gotten better at spelling. That's how I am building my brand.
That's it hope you liked it.

I think social media is a good way of communicating with others and expressing feelings, actions,or thoughts. Yes ,I do agree with coach John Calipari men's basketball from Kentucky. About social media only to a certain point. Yes you can communicate with people, but if you do it in a mean way people are going to know you as a mean person. If I am constantly on a social media site it hard to have good family bond. It is good to spend time with your family and not just on a social media site.
Social media doesn't effect my life. I am not consistently on any social media sites for example Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest , Instagram, or Snap Chat.

Do you agree or disagree? How does social media affect your life? How are you "building your brand?" In this post I will be talking social media. I hope you enjoy.
Yes I agree with John Calipari because he knows that most people today use social media. The coach said “I’m not going to hold my team back from the Twitter or Facebook, but I’m going to teach them how to use it for a positive,” said Coach Cal, who has 1.25 million Twitter followers, 417,000-plus Facebook fans and 44,000-plus Instagram followers.\
Social media affects my life........... This affects me and my life because I am always posting on Instagram or updating my states on Facebook. So my mom got tired of us always on the internet so she cut us down to 30 minuets a day. We have a my-FY box so that means that we only have 5 GB.
I am building my brand by working hard and trying my best on everything I do. I am studding harder. I try my best to get good grades and to make a good repatriation on people. When people read my answers on the Question Board or my blog I want people to think that I am a hard worker and that I try my best. I hope you enjoyed

University of Kentucky men's basketball coach, John Calipari talks about the role of social media. Do you agree or disagree? How does social media affect your life? How are you "building your brand? I do agree that social media is a opportunity to try to be positive to try to add the community and something to society. When you are on social media you can not be defined by any one but yourself .On social media you will define yourself . But there are not alto of people that us social media to bully or to just be mean not to express them self. When Mr.McGuire ask '' How does social media affect your life'' . I said social media can affect your life good or bad it's how you us social media. It's up to you. When someone says building your brand

I agree to (John Calipari) about what he said because social media can be bad you need to be responsible if you're on the internet, because what if you post about something and it's pretty bad but you don't know it at the time and then when you do fine out you will have it on your back for a long time and it could ruin your future like if you need to get a job or something.
When he's talking about the players, they need to watch what they write about because they could be talking about someone else and they could see it and how would that make them feel. Then when your not expecting it they could write something about you and it would go on and on and on you wright something then they write something then you write something and that's what it would be like if that ever happened. Another thing is that it could ruin your publicity which would be bad if your where some kind of star play.
Even if you weren't a star this could still ruin you life because everything on the internet stays on the internet. You should always be responsible and watch what you do because there could be a bad person on there and could be planning something that wouldn't be good for you or your family. Another thing is that what if you put something on there and you go to get a job the boss will look you up and can see what you have posted even if your account is on private. If you have posted something on there that is bad you will probably not be able to get a good job just because of one little post or even if there's more. That's all I have to say about social media.

Social media does affect your life like Facebook Twitter Instagram Snapchat. You could be doing a lot more thing's like walking your dog they could be cleaing their house or doing outside activites. Do you know that almost half of the U.S.A gets on social media more than 10 times a day. I don't like social media because It Is mostly drama and people talking bad about you sometimes I tell my mom to get off of It and do something else instead of sitting inside on a nice day on the phone or instead of riding ATVS. That is why I don't like social media because most of the time they get on It and It takes for ever to get them off of It. Social media is not something I would ever use even my 9 year old sister is on social media all the time.
